They are making up for covid losses. They should of let everyone in and made a few dollars more. It’s too many teams.
I know their making up for covid losses. It's still too many teams.

Seen where Joe Eitel made a poll on Twitter asking if he should go ahead and do the playoff status feature the next 2 weeks even with the crazy covid cancellations and schedule changes. As of now it’s a resounding yes. I’ve missed that feature on his site.

Zane Trace only having 49 second level points through 8 weeks hurts them to get a home game.
6 wins: VC (5-2) They other 5 wins are (6-30).

There are going to be some really bad blowouts in the first and second rounds because the OHSAA put 16 teams in to make more money.
1st round I agree, not many compeitive games. But the 2nd round(old 1st rd) should have some quality games. I could see Ironton or Prep possibly beating one of top 8 handidly but that happens when you have elite teams. A possible Wood/Burg 2nd round game is a tough (old 1st round) game.
agree the two most likely round 2 games (old rd1 assuming everyone wins round1 is Wood@Burg or Burg@Piketon

Licking Heights takes down Harvest Prep in a close one 13-8. How does that shake things up?

Quite a bit for top teams. I’ll have to wait till tomorrow to see how teams like up. Portsmouth wins and minford loses so that helps the Trojans. Portsmouth has to win next week to be in the top 8 in my opinion. Ridgewood might take top spot

Puts them more in line for a 4 seed than the 1. I’m thinking somewhere in the 22s. Comfortably behind 9-1 Ironton, 10-0 Ridgewood, and Piketon. Ahead of 9-1 Ridgewood and perhaps 8-2 Ironton. Comfortably ahead of Wheelersburg.

Still possible for top 8 even with a loss. Meigs is only trailing behind Wellston by 8 with 9 mins left. That would hurt Minford some if Wellston losses. Games next week that could help Portsmouth too.

They also got big 2nd level points from Coshocton and Marlington who both won tonight. If both them and Ironton win next week it is going to be very close for #1, but regardless who finishes 1 and who finishes 2 they won’t see each other until the regional finals. As it should be IMO. 2 best teams in the region if Tingle is healthy.

You computer points guys should give me a run down. I think Portsmouth gets beat at Ironton. 2nd level points from West this week this against Oak Hill, then next week from the winner of Rock Hill/CG for sure. Could get points if Valley were to beat Minford (I don’t see it) or if Deer Park beats whoever they play (probably unlikely). So let’s say the only 2nd level points Portsmouth gets are the RH/CG winner and they lose to Ironton. Zane Trace wins against Adena and LU wins against Circleville. I assume both of these teams would then pass the Trojans? Can Minford with a win over Valley next week pass Portsmouth still? Just curious to where the Trojans will have to travel. Seems like it could be anywhere from Amanda Clear-Creek, Columbus Academy, Wheelersburg or Zane Trace.

One thing that has stung the Trojans once and might again is that cancelled Gallia Academy game. We played every other team in the league and now that they are playing again and have one win and will likely beat South Point it's going to cut out some of our 2nd level points.

I was just off the phone saying I’m glad the kids got 10 games this year but that Gallia cancel really hurt Portsmouth. They are setting at 8 now so a win and it’s a home game or loss and they are traveling. I thought they would move up 1 spot to 7 but stuck at 8. Portsmouth would of beat gallia i believe and got some points from it

A Gallia win would have had Portsmouth at 15.21 and probably hosting ZT week 11.

Vinton County-Wellston will be a key game for West, Minford and Zane Trace to possibly host.
Minford and West beat Wellston. Zane Trace beat VC.

Crabs brother, I don't see how you get Zane Trace's points that high? I keep getting around 12.7 to 13.5 for max.

I have ZT at 35 level 1 (3.5 average)

I have them getting:

12.5 from Adena
3.5 from Plains
4.5 from Wellston
4.5 from Unioto
4 from Paint Valley

That 29 on top of the 75 they have gets them 104. 104 with a 94 divisor is 11.06

11.06+3.5 = 14.56.

OK. I see now. Assuming Madison Plains and Vinton County win.

I don't even think ZT needs Madison Plains and VC wins to get the 8th seed. 104-8=96. 96 with a divisor of 94 is 10.21 add 3.5 and they are at 13.71. Which is should be enough.
