Both teams playing for second place in the TVC Ohio unless Athens can upset NY. Should be a heck of a ballgame. Thoughts on this one?

The series History including McArthur is 36-26-1 in favor of Wellston. Since 1987, VC holds a 21-13 advantage. Wellston did get a good win against them last year. You never know how this game is going to go. Usually this is a great game. 16 games in this series has been decided by a touchdown or less.

Wellston is a much improved team since game 1, Isaac Molihan has over 700 yards passing since taking over QB last 4 games( 1 completion in Alex game after Frisby went down). I think this will be a good game and the team that can eliminate turnovers and penalties should come out the victor.

This game is a toss up. It has important playoff implications for both teams. It could have TVC title applications. It is unlikely, that Athens can upset the Buckeyes but not impossible. Two years ago NY upset Athens and if Wellston had not lost to VC 20-0, they would have had a piece of the title. The final thing is it is rivalry week. Both teams have had good season but whoever wins will have a great season.

I could be wrong, but if VC gets beat I don’t believe we’ll get in the top 12 of the region. I think were sitting at the 11 or 12 spot now. A loss will most likely keep us out of the playoffs. If we win we have a very good chance

Those days are over. The home team’s AD does not hire the refs anymore as of last year I believe. The TVC now has an assigner that assigns the referees.

16 teams make the playoffs now. not 12. both teams are most likely in regardless of a win or loss. who they will play will drastically change however between a win or a loss. vc is 13th in our region and most likely will stay there or move up one possibly. Wellston may slip to 16 with a loss but i still think they make it. may see a possible rematch with wellston and Piketon week 11.
