I was shocked. Heard a lot about this years team. Was dominated on both sides of the ball.knightruner wrote: Fri Aug 13, 2021 10:36 pm Well after watching the Ironman play they might be 1 and 4 out of the first five games. They looked really bad against Bellbrook tonight. Just by going on what I seen in this game. one week left to get ready for the real deal.

I’d bet decent money we won’t be 1-4knightruner wrote: Fri Aug 13, 2021 10:36 pm Well after watching the Ironman play they might be 1 and 4 out of the first five games. Relax…….the games that count have net started yet.
And quite honestly…..this scrimmmahe last night couldn’t have went any better. They needed That
It’s HARD for us Jackson fans to watch old school foootball line up and smash us in the mouth , push us all over the field , because that’s what Ironmen Tradition has been built upon. It’s hard to watch us get manhandled.
Get better boys……keep working…….

That Bellbrooke Team. IS GOOD……and I mean disciplined good. Well coached. Good blocking angles. They don’t miss blocks. They found the holes. Unselfish. Didn’t miss tackles. They played FUNDAMENTALLY SOUND football with a big dose of physicality and BAM you have yourself a badA$$ football team.

Bellbrook did win a couple playoff games last year. Not sure what they have returning this season, but they’re usually solid. Sounds like they definitely delivered a wake-up call to the Ironmen last night.
Time to get right now that the real deal is starting.

Too bad you guys didn’t want us anymore. Would’ve been nice to start 1-0 this season. Oh well. Probably not a bad thing though because we’ll wind up getting more points from oak hill than you guys this year. Have fun going 3-7.Ironmen98 wrote: Fri Aug 13, 2021 10:38 pmI was shocked. The Ironmen could go either way this year. From what I've seen they could be that team that just pulls it out and finds a way to win.

Well, that could be a positive for Logan then since Iv'e heard they're running the Wing-T this year. Of course Logan isn't Bellbrook we all know that.
Re: 2021 JACKSON IRONMEN FOOTBALL
Random Jackson history question.
Can anyone provide a list of Jackson's captains from 2015-2019?
Thanks.

Re: 2021 JACKSON IRONMEN FOOTBALL
Well, great season and a fun season. Loved our schedule. @Ironton, vs Burg, @Western Brown, vs Eastmoor, regional semi against Western Brown…..man those are fun fun games.
To our 14 seniors….
Tristen Prater….4 year starter and likely the best receiver ever to play for Jackson. Arguably the best CB as well. Great punter and a coach on the field. Going to be hard to replace.
Grant Mastin…..started for 4 years and one of our best linebackers ever. A tremendous Ironmen. Will be greatly missed.
Evan Spires….started 4 years and was good at every single flipping position, every one of them. His defensive highlights against Burg in 2019 had Alumni Stadium rocking like it’s never been. A huge loss not having him in these big games. Another coach on the field for sure.
Drew Bragg….was a key target as receiver as a freshman and this year a leader on defense. Gave it all he had and was huge all through the season. Probably his 3rd best sport and he was 1st team all-district. Tremendous skill athlete.
Holden Blankenship…..going through this list I’m wondering how to replace all these players. Holden came on big as a receiving target and was in there on defense. Another great piece to this team.
Ty Jones….another true Ironmen. Gritty and played everywhere throughout his time. All-FAC and all-district and all deserved. Tremendous motor.
Caeleb McGraw….another kid that was moved around and just kept showing he could do it. Another coach on the field.
Hunter Webb…..a great piece to step in on offense and defense.
Jake Malone….another so what is asked kid. Big on special teams.
Shawn Woodyard….filled in on Dline and a great teammate…had some big plays
Hayden Bice…always ready when number was called
Levi Woolum….great teammate and always ready
Cody Sheffler….same as above! Great kid
Xander Karagosian….don’t think anyone has even fit in quicker on an Ironmen team. Great player and great effort…and great kid.
Good luck to each and every one of these kids.
Next year….everyone get bigger, stronger and faster BUT also more disciplined. Too many holdings, too many false starts and too many fumbles. Everyone improve a little and plenty of kids to step into the big time. Next year could be very similar!
Good luck and thank you for such a fun season. Outstanding effort all season!
