I won’t expose my identity but I am from Sciotoville East, and just wanted to leave a few words about Coach Crabtree. He beat me multiple years, but always made it a point to tell me how much he appreciated my game and the way I played. One of the coaches and mentors that stick out to me when I think out southeast Ohio football. Congrats on a great career and best of wishes as you move on. Thank you coach!

Sounds like Valley should be naming their field after someone next season…
Congrats on a stellar career! I’ve heard nothing but good things about Coach Crabtree!

I figured they would name the field after him when they open the new indoor facility

Congratulations and best wishes to Coach D. Crabtree. Thank you for investing so much time in young men. I wish you nothing but the very best.
Re: End of an Era at Valley.......
Anyone know if they are doing anything like a official announcement at a basketball game or some other time planned?
Re: End of an Era at Valley.......
I wonder what coach Crabtree could do at a d1 high school or a small college? He’s always got the best out of his players.
Re: End of an Era at Valley.......
I believe he was referencing valleys wins against wheelersburg since valley joined the SOC 2Burg_Grad_77 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 11:55 amNot true about beating Burg. According the records on this site they have only beat the Burg 5 times while West and Waverly have 27 wins each.14U wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 1:52 pm Darren put his heart and soul in the Valley program. He also took the Indians to another level playing up every year! He was 2 boys from being D-VII and played in SOC II, playing D-IV, V schools. He had his team ready for playoff runs and beat Burg more then any conference team. Congratulations on 32 year at same school and helping young men become men for our future!! Now it’s time for relaxing and family time.

I wouldn’t expect anything until next year their post said they was taking applications until December 3rd and with the holidays coming up
Re: End of an Era at Valley.......
Whoever the new coach will be... will have some very big shoes to fill. I think Valley will find a very good successor to Crabtree.
Re: End of an Era at Valley.......
Any timeline on naming Crab's replacement? Any clue on how many applied for the job?
