Best Food for the ballgame roadtrip
With all the talk of possible expansions, what is everyone's choice for food in all the different towns? Because, to fat boys like me, this is the most important issue in hoping some teams come into a league!!
I'm from Rock Hill and here is mine:
For our area in Ironton - The Armory & Melini's
When going on road:
Gallia - Court Side
Portsmouth - The Ribber
Jackson - Arch & Eddies & my favorite Rowdy’s (owned & operated by an Old Teammate of mine - Nathan Kitts)
That's just a few of mine. What's your all's

Butterbees is awesome, always hit that place up on the way to Cincinnati. Good shout for Ollie’s in Portsmouth instead of the typical Ribber. Ollie’s is really good.

I’ll have to try Ollie’s. I’ve heard others speak highly of it also. My wife’s favorite is New Boston’s Hickie’s.
Re: Best Food for the ballgame roadtrip
Ollie’s also has a GREAT burger like Hickie’s but a big variety of barbecue and smoked goodiesPopeSnoopDogThe1st wrote: ↑Sat Mar 26, 2022 2:14 pm I’ll have to try Ollie’s. I’ve heard others speak highly of it also. My wife’s favorite is New Boston’s Hickie’s.

I'll give a good shout out to Butterbees, good food with a lot of variety and plenty of it. Ollie's hu? honestly say that's not one I've hit when I'm in P-Town to busy lusting after the RibberBuckeyeBlood wrote: ↑Sat Mar 26, 2022 12:27 pm

We were going to do Ribber after an event we attended at SSU but it was only like 1:30 and I wasn’t feeling a big steak….Ollie’s impressed me. Big ol place with a huge variety and everything looked really good (as I peaked at other tables)greygoose wrote: ↑Sat Mar 26, 2022 4:52 pmI'll give a good shout out to Butterbees, good food with a lot of variety and plenty of it. Not a mama papa joint, but Chillicothe has Canes. Just can't go wrong with them. Always has ball teams in after games, doesn't matter which way on 23 your headed.
Re: Best Food for the ballgame roadtrip
I've hit Cane's couple times up in Dayton just not a real fan, chicken is ok and my sons call me crazy but I don't like the sauce. Prefer Popeyes Chicken to Cane's.MadeInRossCounty wrote: ↑Sat Mar 26, 2022 7:21 pm Not a mama papa joint, but Chillicothe has Canes. Just can't go wrong with them. Portsmouth has to be the Ribber. But you got the Pizza Crossing right for Logan and Jacks is not bad either.
Re: Best Food for the ballgame roadtrip
Hillsboro has a new restaurant called "The Porch". I have not tried it, but it looks pretty good. Has anyone been there?
Re: Best Food for the ballgame roadtrip
Porch is very good....they have a huge back "porch" perfect for a little pregame of post game celebrations....they also carry the high school streaming package and had all of the basketball games on....i'm sure they do the same for all the other sports on
