What ONE team in your schools history was the best. Please, pick just one by giving the year of the season the best team played and refrain from the incessant rants about multiple teams and why this one or that one might have been better. Just one team for each school. I'll kick this motha off:

Best Warren team ever. Undisputed. Really wish this team could have played in front of full crowds and gotten their whole season... I think about that team quite a bit...

New Boston-1930 (6-4) in the SEOAL at the time

Green- 1989: 11-1, SOC1 Champs, 1st Playoff Appearance, 1st Playoff Victory, Regional Runner Up

Minford-1985: 11-2, SOC2 Champs, 1st Playoff Appearance, 1st Playoff Victory, State Semifinal

Northwest-1973: 8-2, when the SOC was one conference

Oak Hill-2010: 11-2, SOC1 Champs, DV R19 Regional Runner Up

Portsmouth-1938: 10-0, defeated Akron South, Cincinnati Elder, Springfield, Steubenville, Chillicothe, Middletown, Columbus South, Ironton, Toledo DeVilbiss, and Huntington, WV

Sciotoville/Portsmouth East-1960: 10-0, SOC Champs, outscored their opponents 408-6

Notre Dame-1967: 9-0, SOC Champs, AP Poll Champions, outscored their opponents 460-42

Portsmouth West-2002: 12-3, SOC2 Champs, DIV State Runner Up and defeated Youngstown Ursuline in the State Semifinals

Symmes Valley-2004: 10-2, SOC1 Champs, DVI Region 23 Runner Up

Valley-1962: 9-0, SOC Champs, Beat Wheelersburg and outscored their opponents 232-36. Had 4 shutouts. I may catch flack for this one but I look at the numbers not the year in which it occurred.

Waverly-1969: 9-0-1, SOC Champs, Tied Jackson in what many call the best game in SEO History. Outscored their opponents 362-102

Wheelersburg-2017: 15-0, SOC2 Champs, DV State Champs, outscored their opponents 594-128. Defeated 10 teams with a winning record and 9 teams that made the playoffs. Defeated (at the time of the game) 9-0 and State Ranked #4 Portsmouth West 41-7. Portsmouth West scored the 1st touchdown of the game and essentially didn’t move the ball again.

West was really good that year but I think Burgs 2017 would handle both rather easily. I would even put West state runner up team better than them as well.

West was really good that year but I think Burgs 2017 would handle both rather easily. I would even put West state runner up team better than them as well.

I would agree with that. I love old school ball but that 2017 is hard to keep up with.
