Well he is just a sophomore… I’ve watched the kid play since he was in second grade and he has arm talent. Like I said if he has time to throw and make good decisions he can be great. Props to the kid for Meigs who had the interceptions. I hope he gave the defensive line a big pat on the back for the pressure they created.Tvcfanatic wrote: Tue Oct 04, 2022 12:28 pmYea Young has a very accurate and Great arm for throwing to Meigs Safety Conner Imboden who had 3 interceptions off young for around 100 return yardsRupertHowdy wrote: Sun Oct 02, 2022 11:03 am Athens wins.
Young has a great arm and when he has time to throw, he can be very accurate. Athens also has DB’s that will matchup well with the small receiving core of Wellston.
Wellston was run heavy against NY last week and why not. Their offensive line is not horrible but NY keeps a fresh rotation of solid DL. Athens has a young DL and Wellston will get second level consistently all night. Wellston wins time of possession but it will not be enough to get the W.
Wellston fails to slow down Young’s arm or his legs and eventually Athens wears down Wellstons RBs.
42-21 Athens
Young throws for 3 and runs for 1.
all jokes aside he looks poised in the pocket but i feel he holds the ball a little too long and stares down his primary receivers.
Athens wins this one 28-27
Hopefully Young doesn’t feel like he has to win the game all by himself every time he drops back next year as he and the OL gain experience.
The TVC needs all their teams to be competitive and Athens especially needs to be competitive given their division.
I would love to see every TVC team go undefeated in Non-conference play.
