Not for sure their exact record but they aren't very good at all, guessing if they had a win it was against Oak Hill. I did hear the SV 8th grade group was pretty stackedmattash wrote: Thu Oct 06, 2022 9:25 pm Symmes Valley 65 Minford 6
Symmes Valley goes 7-0
Anyone know Minfords record?

Congratulations to the Zane Trace Pioneers JH football program. It looks like they will complete an undefeated season and an SVC title.

I believe Chillicothe 7th grade is undefeated as well. Haven't really had a close game yet either.mattash wrote: Thu Oct 06, 2022 10:42 pm Who all is undefeated?
Ironton 7-0
Symmes Valley 7-0
Zane Trace 6-0
West 6-0
Re: 2022 Junior High Scores and Standings
Anyone know if Ironton will play Portsmouth Thursday?
Heard Portsmouth may not have enough players , I know their numbers was way down when season started

As of now the game is still on. Haven’t heard anything to the contrary.

I found out the same thing
Re: 2022 Junior High Scores and Standings
Would love to have seen SV and Ironton slug it out. Both have great groups. I would obviously give the edge to Ironton but I do believe SV would put points on the board.
Re: 2022 Junior High Scores and Standings
Ironton on the year outscored opponents roughly 350 - 0.
Crazy thing is most games the 8th graders only played 2 quarters and had running clocks by halftime.

Heard Portsmouth at least managed 3 or 4 first downs and actually got to the 1 yard line from scoring a touchdown?..and stopped Ironton on 4 down a couple times ,not much to brag about lol but up until this game I'm thinking they only gave up 1 first down .
This Ironton team stays together they will definitely compete for a state title in high scho

Not sure on the total of first downs leading into this one but it was more than one. Yes, Portsmouth got a couple 1st downs and did threaten once. They broke a run down to the 3 (I think). Ironton knocked em back to about the 10 when they completed a pass and fumbled into the end-zone. Ironton responded with a one play 80yd TD.
Overall Ironton punted once (twice on the year) and was held on downs once in this game.

Re: 2022 Junior High Scores and Standings
It would be a running clock. SV has never had anything for this group of kids in LL. I know thats LL, but this team has got better every year. They win at every sport. These shutout wins have had so many ghost flags from refs just because of the lopsided score. Most physical 8th grade team I’ve watched.Tweeder82 wrote: Thu Oct 13, 2022 9:11 pm Would love to have seen SV and Ironton slug it out. Both have great groups. It was 4th and goal from around the 10 yard line. They threw a pass, the kid caught it and was immediately hammered causing him to fumble the ball at the 2 yard line and was recovered in the endzone by Irontons defense. Without the fumble it was still a turnover on downs. Portsmouth has some athletes. They just don’t have very many kids out this year. Its still hard to believe they didn’t allow any touchdowns. Most teams never reached mid field and were probably negative yards most games
