Re: #2 Jackson v. #15 Miami Trace
MT will be the same way they were the first time. scrappy to the end. However the team they saw after the brutal non-conference play is not the week 11 team.
everyone talks about this years brutal non-conference schedule. let me remind everyone that this YEAR #TWO of the brutal non conference games. this senior class has been battle tested way more then just this year. jackson is determined that we will win a regional championship game in the next 5/10yrs. we are in year 2 of going to the next level of competition.
the depth chart needs to be big for Jackson. if and when your number is dialed up at a moments notice. you owe it to the team to be fully prepared and execute.
it’s the season of survive and advance. or head to the weight room to start getting better for next year.
lead em seniors.
enjoy the ride

Miami Trace won't go away easy they went toe to toe with Jackson in the 1st game and Jackson pulled away. Keep in mind MT scored the 2nd most points against Jackson this year. Jackson will take this one and probably pull away 2nd half, but MT will come to play this isn't going to be one of those just show up games.
Re: #2 Jackson v. #15 Miami Trace
Miami Trace has been in some very competitive close games these past three or four weeks of the regular season. Even though they have been on the losing end of the majority of those games, there is absolutely no quit in their players, and really had a very good opportunity to win a couple of those games. After seeing the Ironmen squander a 28-7 lead in the matchup a few weeks ago, and then watch MT pull to within seven points fairly late in the game, I'm pretty sure that the Ironmen Coaching Staff will have the full attention of the players this week. I'll take the Ironmen to win this game, the margin will depend on how clean a game, as far as penalty's and turnovers they commit.

Say what you want about the 1st game, but keep in mind the play calling by the coaches was questionable at best. Coach even admitted as much after the game. 2 times going for it on 4th down on your side of the 50 and not making it, lead to short fields that MT took advantage of. Throw out the short fields and this game wasn't as close as many want to believe. I see Jackson moving on the second round.

First game was also the Apple Bowl game. Jackson never seems as focused during the Apple Festival.

You make a very good point. I heard the Head Coach say that exact thing on the postgame show.

I would like to think Jackson is more polished then when they met the first time. We looked the best we’ve looked all year week 9 and then went on the road and beat a talented Chillicothe team in a pretty emotional game. I think Jackson moves on to week 12

I’d have to agree that Jackson should move on fairly easily.
But I’d say that the vast majority of teams look more polished as the season moves on, or at least they should. Plus, you must take into account that Jackson’s season became easier as the season moved on. There’s no way you can compare the competition of the second half of the season to that of the first half.
Jackson 42-14

Tressel ball all playoffs. Save the trickery for the final 4. Field position. Punt. Pin em deep and make em drive it 80 yds on this defense. We have a great team. Trust in that. Play sound fundamental football. Execute the basics like a pro
Re: #2 Jackson v. #15 Miami Trace
If the Ironmen come into this game already looking to Week 12, MT can make this interesting. Also I saw that Jackson's best WR is battling some sort of illness. If he is unable to go, how much of a factor will that play in what Jackson does offensively? I think Andy will have the boys focused on this week and I see Jackson winning 42-10.
Re: #2 Jackson v. #15 Miami Trace
Should be an Ironmen victory, but there is a danger of overlooking this game and getting our butts kicked. Hopefully the coaches and the team leaders keep the team focused on the task at hand. You have to take care of business each week to keep moving on to the next!

Well, I figured since an Ironman fan jumped on the Waverly and Wyoming discussion and said those exact words it was only fair, I post the same thing to see how it went over.

Well, I kind of see what you mean. That is somewhat confusing.
