Fairland 21 - 22 West Muskingum 2022 Playoffs

I’m a fan of the OVC. But Fairland’s coach got out witted tonight. So it goes. On to basketball

Fairland definitely got out coached tonight. Just kept trying to run the ball up the middle. When the staff finally started letting the athletes get the ball in space they scored quick. To bad that was the last drive of the game. That play calling was bad.

Congrats West Muskingum and Coach Brownrigg.

Coach Brownrigg was the offensive coordinator for Tri-Valley when they played in the D3 state tourney in 2017. The West M defensive coordinator is Coach Reilly who was the D coordinator for Tri-Valley in 2017. Great coaches. Took a doormat program to a playoff win in 3 years.

Unfortunately, up next is Harvest Prep college.

I am sorry but I can’t agree that Fairland got outcoached. First of all you have to tip your cap to WM and their boys and their staff for playing a great ball game. The game came down to the final play.
I see the finger pointing at Coach Cunningham and saying he was outcoached. I disagree they played with multiple starters out or hurt. The offense was super simple and it was designed to put the ball in the 2 best offensive players hands 27 and 10.Those 2 had big nights and they gave the Dragons a chance. Playing with a very limited playbook and using the skilled guys Fairland was very much in a game to win and the game plan worked. To blame this on coaching I disagree and will always back what Coach Cunningham has done at Fairland and what he has built the expectation now is for the season to end in post season football and challenging for OVC titles.

Fairland came out flat and at half came out same way..remi d me how they was at the Portsmouth game...not sure if they thought they had this game or what but they got out played...my OPINION is no one got excited including coaches...didn't see them try to motivate them until the end of the game. Again, just my observation of the game.

Just out of curiosity, you say MULTIPLE starters was out...besides the qb, what other startes wasn't playn? They played 2 games without him and did very well...so not sure why you say it was because they had Multiple starters out...

Fairland gets out coached alot I think Jackson the assistant coach should call the plays and sometimes go under center

Could he be the next head coach at Fairland if Cunningham leaves?

If you take away Coach Cunningham from Fairland you are looking at a vastly different program. I think the way that he has built this program from ground up as he inherited a mess has been impressive. He has been involved in every level trying to make this his program. He is the only coach in Fairland history to ever win a playoff game.
I think when you watch a Fairland offense you see guys running open which is scheme related and play calling related. Since he has been at Fairland he has put guys in positions to be succesful.

Sometimes you have to tip your hand to the other team and on Friday night West Muskimgul was the better team that night wasn’t a getting outcoached thing imo
