Thompson High School in Alabama just won there 4th straight state title with a back up QB named Trent Seaborn that is a 14 year old 8th grader. So age and grade doesn’t always matter. He threw for 207 yards and 5 touchdowns with one interception in the championship gameformerfcfan wrote: Sat Dec 03, 2022 1:41 pm The advantage to having the QB be the coach’s son, when you’re a state power, is the coach has a more direct line to the on-field game manager and more opportunities to impress accountability into the kid.
Kid didn’t do great, but it’s doubtful Kirtland had anyone else who’d do better.

True but that's also why you can't wear them down, you guys are used to controlling the LOS and that didn't happen so there's no way you were going to wear them down. Plus, it's a MAC school they're used to getting down and nasty in the trenches.Kirtland80 wrote: Sat Dec 03, 2022 1:12 pmEasier said than donegreygoose wrote: Sat Dec 03, 2022 1:07 pmYou guys can't run it well enough against them to stay on the field, you guys are used to those long drivesKirtland80 wrote: Sat Dec 03, 2022 12:59 pm ML is about the only team we can’t wear down in the second half

Then why skip his Sr son at qb to have the freshman son play qb? They were undefeated and beat one helluva schedule. People judging him playing against that defense is laughable. Laverde would never do that to his team or his players.fbnut wrote: Sun Dec 04, 2022 7:08 pmHe did look like it was a little to big for him. Congratulations to Kirtland on beating a bunch of teams by 30 + this season. Running the ball a lot when you have giant linemen up and down the depth chart is very impressive. Nobody else in Division VI can figure out how to grow so many giant football players, so you definitely have that. Keep up the great work!

Really hoping this is another of your sarcastic posts. If not, better buy a program and actually look at height and weight. Again, tough to tell if sarcasm or not. Hoping it is because if it isn't it's completely the wrong take this yearefarns wrote: Mon Dec 05, 2022 9:12 am Congratulations to Kirtland on beating a bunch of teams by 30 + this season. Neither team, as I’m sure you know, was huge up front in the state final. FF’s first team offensive line was probably bigger as a unit than both of them. 200lbs+strong+quick = hard to handle. That’s what struck me about ML, was how unremarkable they are physically at first glance.Ff3233 wrote: Mon Dec 05, 2022 4:13 pmReally hoping this is another of your sarcastic posts.
