D1 Commits
Committed or not a kid isn't a D1 player or any other level until he signs his name on the dotted line. That hasn't been done yet around here yet this season.

Re: D1 Commits
D1 early signing period still not for a few more weeks. You suggesting some players going to get scholarship offers pulled?*
Re: D1 Commits
How are they supposed to sign on the dotted line?? It's not possible for another couple weeks so no idea what you're talking about.Ovenmit wrote: Fri Dec 02, 2022 3:04 pm Committed or not a kid isn't a D1 player or any other level until he signs his name on the dotted line. Re: D1 Commits
Who actually have offers that have full scholarship and not just preferred walk ons? I am hearing some that people say have offers are really prepared walk ons.
Re: D1 Commits
I don't really think you start seeing the preferred walk on stuff start happening until later in the process once kids have exhausted their options.MTSWNGRVSG wrote: Fri Dec 02, 2022 10:06 pm Who actually have offers that have full scholarship and not just preferred walk ons? Drew Guthrie from Miami Trace has several, but I don't know if he's verbally committed yet.

Re: D1 Commits
It is making it a lot harder on these kids, they'll commit the portal opens up after a commitment and there's 2-3 3 and 4 star juniors headed to the school they committed to earlier in the year. Honestly unless you are just a badass, a kid is almost better off going to a lower tier D1/D2 school establish himself and then enter the portal themselves if they've proven they can make that leap.

2023 players are facing an uphill battle. There also still a year left of COVID eligibility players? I see lot of the local colleges that recruit locally are out on social media JUCO/portal searching instead of recruiting locally this year it seems. Between the portal and 25 year old's with a year of eligibility left the 2023 are getting the shaft. It will eventually work itself out...I guess

Carrico comes to mind in regards to this. The LBs ahead of him are all benefitting from that extra COVID year, which I don't believe he'll get, correct?Treeh0rn wrote: Wed Dec 07, 2022 9:42 am 2023 players are facing an uphill battle.
