Re: Washington Court House Football
Any news yet on the process or hiring, it has been at least two weeks since the posting came down? Are they at least down to finalists yet? I'm hearing that no one is lifting and that is not good for the program because you win games in the off season.

You m ay need to wait on us. I think several of our candidates applied for your job. You can have our leftovers.

Word on the street is that one of the candidates that interviewed from a school in West Virginia really did well and was very well liked by the hiring committee. There was another one from Northern Ohio that is well liked as well.

That is not the case. I heard it down to two guys. A guy from Marysville and Preston that is in the staff. I am hearing they are offering the job to the Marysville.

Hearing that Dave Everson is the guy, most recently was a varsity assistant at Marysville.

Don’t judge by his record! I remember when one county school ended up with the second option. The guy only went 53-6-1, not bad!

That certainly is a lot better than 10 and 40.MTSWNGRVSG wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 9:20 pm Don’t judge by his record! I remember when one county school ended up with the second option. The guy only went 53-6-1, not bad!

10-40 is definitely not impressive as a HC. However you never know the variables of a situation. What is the staff looking like? I wonder if Everson will bring a staff from columbus or try to hire within. I know the blue lions lost a large senior class but what is the talent looking like for next year?
Re: Washington Court House Football
Hearing from multiple sources that the blue lions lost a good portion of the staff as well, most of the position coaches will be at other programsBluelion2816 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 28, 2023 11:13 am 10-40 is definitely not impressive as a HC. The word around town he is hiring within, has no roots or keeping him committed to the area. Driving about 45 minutes to get to the school. His previous school had no idea looking or interviewing for a new job. WCH always has a good amount of talent its just bringing it out and showcasing it.
