How would they schedule other sports then? The benefit of being in a league is scheduling. You can't have volleyball hunt for games for an entire season.

I agree with the scheduling but if they push us out don't pump the Ironton money into their sports programs.

I believe he means college coach visiting ironton not recruiting kids to come play at Ironton. That has actually been quite so far and probably will not have as many as we have had in the last couple of years. Time will tell. Go Tigers

As long as whomever is getting these kids college looks, doesn’t leave, the program will be just fine. The program has great vision and kids are promoted almost daily. The Fighting Tiger staff has done a great job of promoting the school and the program. In an era where money is very tight in school systems, you have toirontonwizard wrote: ↑Sat Jan 28, 2023 7:35 am???fbnut wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 11:22 amGive him time, although I hear the lead recruiter is leaving so who knowsirontonwizard wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 10:21 am

promote your school, facilities and staff. I’m glad to see Irontons student population actually growing now for the first time in 40 years.

I heard it’s going great, a lot of excitement in the weight room, everyone is pushing each other hard, it’s pretty amazing to see when everyone has bought into the system.
Go Fighting Tigers…….

Itys cool that SEO has one of the states top programs in Itown but I wish we had a half dozen or so more that operated for excellence like they do.
Re: 2023 Ironton Tigers
I have heard that Lintz from Northwest has enrolled at Ironton. He's a heck of an athlete. I'm not sure what position he'll play there but I'd assume WR and CB.
Huge loss for Northwest, great gain for Ironton.

Kids are starting to see that Ironton is giving kids the chance to play at next level. You can't blame a kid.
Re: 2023 Ironton Tigers
I agree. Times are changing. Certain schools up north have been on the receiving end of transfers for many years to form super teams. Transferring is only going to happen more and more.Hoopster98 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 8:32 am Kids are starting to see that Ironton is giving kids the chance to play at next level. I do think in our lifetime we will see some version of the 'transfer portal' in HS Sports. Perhaps not quite like you see in college, but definitely a situation where kids are able to transfer to another school 1x in their HS tenure and be fully eligible without having to switch addresses. Whether we like it or not, it's coming.
