I can’t wait for the week 6 showdown between Meigs and NY. I figure both teams will be 5-0 or 4-1 at worst. It’s at our place this year so the refs shouldn’t be a problem. I look for a war on the field.

NY wins this one in a route. They looked solid against Logan and appeared to have athletes with speed to burn.

Underestimate what? Three short field drives, an athens team that has no fight, and the typical just Chuck the ball up and hope someone’s there? Trimble isn’t terrible but ain’t world beaters bud

What happened to that “unstoppable” offensive scheme that we heard about when Burrow and company were there? I remember hearing about how the OC was a genius and he was the reason for the success, not the players. Don’t they still have the same guy calling the plays?

The quarterback at Athens has talent. Ain’t gonna twist my words on that one.But an air raid offense only works if the offensive line does their job and well we see what happens there

I agree. Their QB is talented, he just does not have much around him unfortunately.

If Logan is down the scrimmage of NY vs Logan didn't show much from either one unless it was a good defensive game.

Isn’t this supposed to be some kind of a rivalry? I would think if it is that more people would have something to say about it.

Same. Believe the game was played on a Friday last year as well instead of a Saturday. Seems like the biggest rivalry game in the county is losing its fire a little bit. Hoping the kids don’t feel that way.

With the season being moved up due to the extended playoffs, the game fell on parade night during parade of the hills, so the game was moved back to Friday. I felt like Attendance was up more last year being back on Friday. I imagine will be another good crowd Friday night. I don’t think many NY nor Trimble people are on this site anymore.

I think this will turn into a track meet if the field is in any kind of shape at all. Word on the street is the fire department is on standby to water it down on Friday morning so who knows what it will be like by game time.
