"Games matters and points matter for playoffs and everybody knows it."
Hey BillyBob...you are 100% wrong with this statement. Points scored and margin of victory have zero effect on playoffs. Winning by 1 or winning by 72 is essentially the same thing in terms of seeding. The only thing that matters is your wins and the wins of teams you beat. Points scored means absolutely nothing.

That is true. Only time it mattered was back early 70's and before. There were no playoffs and the school was voted by the AP as State Champion. Points and margin of victory was relevant then --- not now.MORBaseball wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 2:22 pm "Games matters and points matter for playoffs and everybody knows it."

So can a ND fan please tell me why ND was throwing the ball up 56-0 in the 2nd half. I just looked at the box score 73 yard pass with 6:49 left in 3rd RUN THE FOOBALL. Defending the score and saying what can you do is just ridiculous.
