Playing @ Harvest Prep with their 200 fans would be a lot different than playing @ Ironton in front of their 3000 fans. At HP would basically be a neutral site game for Burg instead of a true road game. Agreed though that HP would still be the heavy favorite.*SWHITE2002 wrote: Fri Oct 13, 2023 12:59 pmIs loosing at Harvest Prep any better than loosing at Ironton?art_vandelay wrote: Fri Oct 13, 2023 12:37 pm"Some of the natives" don't understand that not playing Oak Hill was a gift for Burg. Fairly sad that Burg Football has fell to the point that they are dodging teams of equal size and manipulating the schedule for playoff seeding and to keep the consecutive non-loosing season streak alive

Re: DV R19
I’m a Portsmouth fan but I’m not sure the Trojans get in. Setting at 14 and a loss may drop them out. Now a win would be amazing. Portsmouth may speak into a 16 seed and another rematch at the tank.

Re: DV R19
I agree. I’m optimistic in saying that I believe Ironton’s Oline isn’t far more superior, than our Dline, especially McKenzie off their tackle, but containing Terry is a task I don’t think our secondary is capable of.Beergogglebluez wrote: Sun Oct 15, 2023 3:57 pm I’m a Portsmouth fan but I’m not sure the Trojans get in. Was hoping Valley could pull out two wins to wins to end their season to help with some second level points.
I don’t know if I want us in though, maybe it’ll ignite a flame in the program, top to bottom, HC to last freshman that doesn’t see the field, to do some house cleaning and come back with a new identity next year.

Re: DV R19
Muskie fan touched on this earlier..,#4 Columbus Academy has a huge point game with 8-1 Bishop Ready. With a win CA will most likely jump #3 Harvest Prep who plays a 2-7 team. CA could jump Fairland as well and be in the #2 slot depending how the 2nd level points fall( probably not likely). So with a CA win I see the top 4 in this region as:
Ironton
Fairland
Columbus Academy
Harvest Prep
Ironton
Fairland
Columbus Academy
Harvest Prep
Re: DV R19
If it shakes out as Fantastic 50 has projected…a Pirate victory and a win by Waverly (Mt. Healthy) or McNick (Badin) could put Burg in the 7 seed.
Re: DV R19
It’s looking very possible that Ironton, Harvest Prep, and Wheelersburg could end up on the same side of the bracket.

But they are probably not beating either, especially on the road. And Wheelersburg is so upset that Ironton has their number that they would rather loose to HP.

Burg would have to go against prep anc Ironton eventually. What’s it matter when? The big thing is Ironton and prep has to go through burg. Probably something they would rather avoid. Burg is a really good football team right now.

A Waverly win helps West equally as it does Burg. I agree McNicholas will lose to Badin
Portsmouth will lose to Ironton and Wellston has to be a huge underdog to 8-1 Vinton County, leaving the only potential 2nd level points for West outside SOC games to be 5-4 Hillsboro beating 5-4 McClain. If all that happens, I have Burg at 18.169 in the 7 spot and West with a loss at 18.03 in the 8 spot. That’s assuming Northwest beats Oak Hill. If the Oaks happen to win that, West gets 2nd level points and Burg won’t since they didn’t play Oak Hill

See how that works?…. You can say wtv you want doesn’t make it true…
You probably think Burg “should have” beat Jackson and HP also right?
