Africentric plays a lot of the schools in the Columbus City Area. I believe it will come down to discipline for them to beat the Burg. Historically those teams have speed at various positions. Playing at home will help the Burg.

That said, Burg needs to continue to stick with the run and sprinkle in some play action. If they do that, they should win. Start throwing the ball all over the field, they could easily lose.

Out of 106 Division V schools Africentric strength of schedule is #84 Burgs is #22 so Burgs schedule is alot tougher and I like Burgs changes in this game as long as they stick to what their good at which is running the ball and being very physical on defense

Africentric plays a lot of the schools in the Columbus City Area.

In fact, they are part of the Columbus City Schools district and the Columbus City League. They played 8 games against CCL teams, but one of those was in the north conference of the league (Linden McKinley), so considered a "non-league" game.

Kinda tough to handicap Africentric here. They lost a close one to D6 West Jeff, and their other two losses were to D2 Independence and D4 Marion-Franklin. Not sure what their fan base is at home games. I can tell you have a very nice football stadium maybe five years old, possibly the newest one in the CCS district. But yes, that base probably won't travel well. With no other info at my disposal, I'll say Wheelersburg is the clear favorite.

The Columbusite in me hopes the Nubians will make the Pirates sweat a little before the pillaging, and keep the deficit to 14 or less.

Same recipe. Don't try to have a track meet with AE's skills. Instead run it at them. Control pace. Use playaction and make em honest. Let em make mistakes.

If they get cute and try to have a finesse battle they could get caught.

boy this bracket laid out NICELY for the Burg. Fairland is a weak 2 seed. Ironton at 1 and HP at 4 will have to play each other prior to Burg facing them. Burg should be able to sleepwalk to the Regional Final.

this game will not be close. Watched Africentric on YT, line is low and unathletic. they do indeed have some team speed, but look soft. i see a 45-14 score. burg rolls on to most likely fairland.
