Re: D3 R 11 Marietta @ #4 Jackson
Jackson should win this one by a bunch.

Are they really improving (not saying they’re not) or is it just the sad FAC?
Re: D3 R 11 Marietta @ #4 Jackson
Probably both, definitely been a long time since Jackson has taken care of the football like this team has. This year’s quarterback is very smart with the football.Jimbob2023 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 12:28 pmAre they really improving (not saying they’re not) or is it just the sad FAC?

I’ve given Jackson a bunch of crap over the years and I finally give them a compliment and I get second guessed? Jackson fans are the worst. According to the playoff rankings site Jackson beat 4 straight teams with a running clock and all of those teams will be in the playoffs. Maybe they aren’t that good and playoffs are watered down but Jackson hasn’t laid any eggs and sounds like they don’t even turn the ball over. All I’ve read on here forever is how Jackson fans post that team is good but needs to take care of the ball. Sounds like this year they have. I’ve only watched the Ironton, Burg and Washington games and Ironton didn’t seem a lot better in my eyes but this Jackson team from a few games and some reading sure looks like a good and consistent team. Hopefully you’ll lose and cry about the officiating like Jackson always does.Jimbob2023 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 12:28 pmAre they really improving (not saying they’re not) or is it just the sad FAC?

Definitely a run first approach with a stable of running backs that can break big plays, O-line has gotten a lot better at opening holes and getting to the second level, wide receivers block well to help the running game. Young Qb who takes care of the ball and they will move Cade Wolford out of the backfield which is the Qb’s brother so they have a serious connection. Haven’t seen many drops out of the other receivers either. Defense is fast and aggressive against the run. They have given up some big plays early on against the pass mainly against Ironton and Western Brown but they seem to have tightened that up in the past few weeks.AncientC21 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 11:07 pm don’t know much about Jackson. Most teams in SE Ohio are not going to run the ball much on this team. They’re going to have to go through the air and probably not real successfully with that either. The line is good. The qb is young but smart.AncientC21 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 11:07 pm don’t know much about Jackson. Can someone break down their style of play?
Stepping out of the awful FAC and SE Ohio (except Ironton), I’m sure they’ll see an entirely different game. 4 running clocks in a row and a bunch of blowouts doesn’t tell much about this team.
Re: D3 R 11 Marietta @ #4 Jackson
Agree on the quarterback, to be only a sophomore he is so mature with the football, cool in the pocket. This team has been a lot of fun to watch. Very selfless group.Jimbob2023 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 12:14 pmMost teams in SE Ohio are not going to run the ball much on this team. Also agree on the schedule, very good schedule. Good enough for 4th in the tough region 11.

Just keep your nose down there in Gallipolis and don’t worry about what’s going on in JacksonVik wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2023 7:38 pmI’ve given Jackson a bunch of crap over the years and I finally give them a compliment and I get second guessed?
