FF is going to, and I hate to use this word, destroy, Newcomerstown. This one is going to be over quick.

Fort will be without star Rb Clayton Miller in this one. That being said all 3 backs played great tonight. Tyce Beardsley looks like a future superstar. Srs Riddle and Schulthies also were great with 3 tds combined. Sabo Huck has played great at Qb as well. Freshman Wr Grady Hesson has got it done on 3rd down all year.

Is Newcomerstown the second worst team Fort has played all season?
Re: Playoffs RD2: Newcomerstown (7-4) @ Fort Frye (9-2)
Maybe. Decent showing for Bridgeport, but that’s what happens when almost everyone gets in the playoffs !EasternDspy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 11:47 pm Is Newcomerstown the second worst team Fort has played all season?

Look for them to get some of the young RBs more reps in this one.
Re: Playoffs RD2: Newcomerstown (7-4) @ Fort Frye (9-2)
Fort Frye will likely be too much in this one, but Newcomerstown is just another example of why the expanded playoffs are a good thing. Given the state of that program just a couple years ago, going on the road to pick up a playoff win is an awesome accomplishment.
Also want to wish the Miller kid a speedy recovery, just tough to hear about his injury. Fort Frye is going to need all hands on deck to have a chance in week 13 and that is a huge loss for them.

They have some RBs that can handle it in his absence but they don’t have a cb to replace his level of play.pioneer19 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 11:59 am Fort Frye will likely be too much in this one, but Newcomerstown is just another example of why the expanded playoffs are a good thing. Fort Frye easily advances to week 12.
Good luck and good health to both teams.

Fort Frye rolls with a running clock in this one... glad to see Newcomerstown get a post season win tho!
Re: Playoffs RD2: Newcomerstown (7-4) @ Fort Frye (9-2)
Fort Frye rolls- Tusky Valley was a better team than Newcomerstown. Newcomerstown beat Grandview Hts 17-14. Have followed Grandview Hts and GV did not take advantage of opportunities and had a couple of costly penalties that allow Newcomerstown to win with a field goal with less than a minute to go. Newcomerstown is a wish bone team that until week 11 passed 6 times total or so in last 5 games so what do they do catch Grandview Hts not expecting and passed about 10 times in this game-GV not prepared. Anyway- Fort Frye rolls IMO- Fort Frye would have rolled also if they had played Grandview Hts.

Them being a running team is not going to go well for them.bsee12345 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 29, 2023 1:32 pm Fort Frye rolls- Tusky Valley was a better team than Newcomerstown. One game at a time Cadets. Good luck in your second round game against Newcomerstown.
