2024 Interview with Former VC HFC and new caoch at Zanesville TJ Carper
2024 Interview with Former VC HFC and new caoch at Zanesville TJ Carper
The following was obtained in the parking lot of McClures Diner in McArthur:
RL: Excuse me Coach TJ, May I ask a few questions?
TJ: OK but make it quick. I have places to go and people to see.
RL: Why the change in jobs?
TJ: I have accomplished everything a football coach at VC can do. I won the league. Got in the playoffs and vanquished Coach Combs so that we can reestablish ourselves as a football school.
RL: I can appreciate that but why Zanesville? They stink.
TJ: The AD there promised not to make me play Warren or Jackson. There have been rumblings at VC of letting these two teams into the league. Cant have that.
RL: I notice you have things tied down on the top of your car. How soon do you plan to move?
TJ: (Turns and runs to car and jumps in) Gotta Go! Go Blue Devils!

Radiolady is always spot on with her selection of subjects for interview. So m uch better than that other joker who simply wants to ask what is someones favorite board game.

By far, and there’s no close second.

Re: 2024 Interview with Former VC HFC and new caoch at Zanesville TJ Carper
Let’s go over some facts.
- Yes, Tj took the job at Zanesville
- Yes, he’s going to commute everyday as I did just take a head coaching position at Vinton County and the kids and I do not want to leave right now.
- Tj felt like this was the best thing for him and his coaching career. He builds, restarts, renovates programs (how ever you want to word it) and that’s what he is going to do at Zanesville. He’s the man for the job, for sure! When we moved to VC (back home for me) we had no intentions of being here FOREVER. We initially moved home 3 years ago because my dad is sick. Then the football job came open and everything just sort of fell into place.
- This decision has nothing to do with “running away from Jackson and Warren” or “OHSAA Recruiting”. The teams he’s going to be going up against are much better than your average TVC team.
- And let’s stop with the rebuild at VC the cupboard is not bare for the next 5 years! Watch and see! He’s shown VC what it’s going to take to win I just hope everyone has taken note and will see it through now that he’s gone!
Anymore questions….feel free to reach out. We love to talk

Amazing that Coach's wife is actually on this site defending him from anonymous trollingcaitcarpcoachswife wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 8:16 am Let’s go over some facts.

Sing it sister. I am constantly defending my man. He’s a great coach but not much of a fighter so I not only defend him on here but I set people straight in real life too with a good assz beating if needed. Proud of you and just say the word if you need someone beat up. I’m there for ya.

This thread has more comments than any other interview thread. That’s great. It provides perspective from multiple people and that’s a good thing. Keep up the good work.
