Jim “Snuffy” Smith
Jim “Snuffy” Smith
Haven’t seen it mentioned here so just wanted to post a tribute to a Scioto County sports icon and advocate for young athletes from our area. Coach passed yesterday. He’s been an integral part of high school sports in our area for decades. Not only did he coach for many years at East high school, but he started the Saturday Morning Sports Line call in show. He was also a track official for many years as well as a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Snuff, you will be greatly missed and thank you.

I got to know Mr.Smith when I subbed for him at East HS. Great guy, and sad to hear of his passing.
