MOVGridiron.com - A new site covering HSFB in the MOV!

Post by MOVGridiron »

Hello SEOPS!

My name is Brett Hower, and I am in the process of starting a new outlet exclusively covering HSFB in the Mid-Ohio Valley...MOV Gridiron! I've felt for a while now that our local newspapers have really lacked at covering the sport on a consistent basis, and felt it was time to do something to increase the exposure and recognition of these coaches, players, and programs. My goal is not just to provide boilerplate coverage, but to spend time talking to coaches and players and sharing real insight.

The teams we will be covering in the MOV Gridiron Network:
Ohio: Belpre, Fort Frye, Frontier, Marietta, Warren, Waterford
WV: Parkersburg, Parkersburg South, St. Mary's, Williamstown

A little about me:
-Grew up in eastern PA, have resided in Marietta since 2017
-Have been around HSFB my whole life - played in HS, dad has been a coach for 25+ years
-Coached for 4 seasons at Marietta HS under Jason Schob

Keep up with movgridiron.com as we continue building out the site. Much, much more to come!

Our hometown newspaper doesn't even come close to reporting on high school football like it used to.

Yep, for local teams Craig really had people spoiled around here. We will probably never see that again.

To defend the paper…..the team hasn’t done much worth writing about.

Go for 3, coach. Pour it on!

The paper would report on several schools in the area not just Logan and most of it would be in Saturday's paper. A lot of it also had to do with the people running it. I would say the good people were made to walk on fly paper. Meanwhile back to the topic.

Agree also, Noreply. Craig did lots of other area Schools. The Saturday paper people waited around on after Friday nights.

Haven't spent much time on there, but specifically this will only cover the 10 schools mentioned in the original post.

Might be good idea to throw in the Monroe County schools - Beallsville, River, Monroe Central.
Considering its MOV, these schools have had players participate in the BACF All-Star games.

I think it is great what you are doing. We have one down southern Ohio but they are very bias to certain schools.
good luck to you and again congratulations on your adventure.

Add Monroe Central, Beallsville & River. All 3 play Frontier for starters. Create some good conversations.
