Re: FAC 2024
I would say no one will compete with Jackson. Chillicothe has some young talent coming up but not ready yet. I would say trace is the next best team but i would put Jackson by 20 on them
Re: FAC 2024
Miami Trace will be the second best FAC team in 2024 and will compete with Jackson but the Ironman are probably 14 points better. MT will be a 7-8 win team next season. Chillicothe will probably win 5-6 games, Hillsboro will be around .500, McClain and Washington C.H. will be at the bottom. Both teams lose a lot.

Re: FAC 2024
It will always be Jacksons league to lose. They are to the FAC what Massie was to the SCOL. Miami Trace will be very tough. the rest will be a toss up.

Re: FAC 2024
Jackson clear cut favorite to win the FAC this year, seems like they reload every single year.
MT will beat every FAC team not named Jackson pretty easily IMO. Gunthry and the QB back they will be tough to beat.
Hillsboro really impressed me last year, I thought they were really well coaches and surprised a lot of people.
Chillicothe had a really down year but were really young, I believe Coach Bart will have them improved from last year.
WCH will be very down. The loss of a good senior class like Coffman and Haithcock will hurt. Also Rocky Jones transferring out is a huge blow for them.
Greenfield losing Potts is rough not sure they have much to replace him.

Re: FAC 2024
Yea, I agree. Jackson will run away with the FAC and make a run in playoffs. I would be shocked if they don't. Trace may compete with them but, won't beat them. WCHS will be down if not below .500. They lost a lot and their All State mention RB/DB left and going back to Columbus area.

Re: FAC 2024
Jackson will continue to dominate the FAC in football.
2023 Football Pick’em Regular season and Playoff Champion.
Re: FAC 2024
I think if Jackson is focused and plays well against MT they win by 14. If they struggle with turnovers or come in overlooking the Panthers, they will be in for a dogfight. MT will have one of their better teams in several years this season. Outside of them, Jackson will put a running clock on the rest of the league.
Re: FAC 2024
How has summer been going so far for the teams in the FAC? What are the numbers looking like across the league? The season will be here before we know it, 64 days till Week One!!
Re: FAC 2024
If Jackson continues to dominate does anyone think the other teams will look for new homes?

Re: FAC 2024
The other teams left Clinton Massie for dominating for Jackson. I could see them all leaving jackson for another school further west. Although, minus football, this has been a very competitive and strong conference.

Re: FAC 2024
I think the league stays put. Where are schools like McClain and Hillsboro gonna go?
I see Chillicothe being much better then most think this year (with a proven staff) had some major injury issues last year but should bounce back. MT definitely has some nice pieces to compete. They are big up front and have some very good skill kids.Hillsboro runs that Triple option so every time they play the game is so different then others. They always have big, strong lineman that just grind the ball and I think they return at least one back and the QB.
WCH seems to still be cleaning up messes from the Williamson era . Always have athletes but the structure and discipline is usually the issue. McClain losses a lot but in 2 years will field a very good team for awhile. And Jackson is well JACKSON.

I have noticed that Jackson is competing very well in track now that they are in the FAC.

Re: FAC 2024
The Freshman Class at chillicothe Has the chance to be the best group Chillicothe has seen since the Caleb knights Led 2009 Class. Chillicothe Will not be a front runner this season in the league but should only lose to Jackson and Trace I'm going to say chillicothe Should be a 500 team this season with a chance at 6-4. Jacksons league to lose once again.

Chillicothe has some really nice athletes coming up! If they can stay together and get some discipline they are going to be a problem for the FAC. Coach Bart has help on the way!Ohio1234 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2024 2:17 pm The Freshman Class at chillicothe Has the chance to be the best group Chillicothe has seen since the Caleb knights Led 2009 Class. Be careful! I am generally wrong
Re: FAC 2024
Week 1 is here!
Washington @ London
A season ago, Washington hosted London and lost 62-14. This year, the Blue Lions travel to London for a very tough test to kick off the season. I think the Blue Lions will commit to the ground game here and try to control the clock, and hope for some London miscues to try and keep it close and interesting. If they try to score with London and push the pace, this game will get ugly in a hurry. Overall, I see the Red Raiders leading from start to finish and coming away with a 42-7 victory.
Jackson @ Logan
While the FAC runs through Jackson, the Ironmen have a lot of key pieces to replace and it may take a few weeks to get them rolling. Jackson won this contest 22-0 last season. Logan comes into the contest with a new Offensive Coordinator. Sometimes a change of scheme can get more kids out, especially if it is a more modern style of offense. I truly don't know what Logan has personnel wise going into this season, but I've got to go with the Ironmen here. I'll say they come back home with a 35-14 victory.
Miami Trace vs Waverly
Last year, Miami Trace won on the last play of the game, 27-26. Waverly had a solid senior class last year that will be tough to replace right away. I do think the Tigers are a playoff team this year and can definitely win 7 games, but this is not one that I think they will win. This year, Miami Trace will field their best team since they had Jimmy Stroker at QB and the Pettiford boys back in 2013-14. I think this one will be close for a half and the Panthers will pull away after that. I 'll take MT by a score of 48-20.
Chillicothe vs Bloom-Carroll
Bloom has been a very solid program recently to say the least. They play a physical brand of football and have produced some top talent over the last few years. I think Chillicothe is back on the rise for sure, but it may take them 4-5 games to start playing some winning football as they will field a very young roster that will indeed take some lumps. The Cavaliers are a team that will have the athletes to compete with anyone on their schedule this fall but will certainly lack experience. I think the lack of experience will hurt Chillicothe in this one. I will take Bloom, 31-14.
McClain @ Adena
McClain lost one of their best senior classes in recent memory and will look to rebuild this season with a plethora of young talent. Last year, McClain won 41-23 in week one. It will be a year of growing pains for the Tigers for sure, but the future is definitely looking bright for them. Adena features a new coaching staff and will look to get back to the success they had just a few seasons ago. These are probably two evenly matched teams. I will go with McClain in a close one, 24-20.
Hillsboro @ Western Brown
Hillsboro blew a huge lead to the Broncos a season ago and ended up falling 38-27. It was a rough year for Western Brown as they had to navigate without Drew Novak for the first time in four seasons. Western Brown does have another solid QB under center for this season after a down year a season ago, so I could see them getting back to relevancy. Hillsboro will be a tough team to defend with their style of offense, but on the flip side the Indians have historically struggled against teams that throw the ball often. I could see this being a high scoring contest, similar to last season. I will take Western Brown in this one, 42-30.
Excited that football is back, and I am looking forward to getting out to watch each team this season!
