Logan Football 2024; New league and new OC

I’m revising my outlook. Logan should win 2 games (Warren, NY) and has a shot at winning a third ( Newark) and a competitive game with TV at season end . I projected Groveport and they are loaded. Picktown, Canal and Groveport are all going to be pretty good.

This Friday's Jamboree game will be a huge measuring stick imo. Point Pleasant is talking like they have a team to make a run for a state title, and its the last year for their coach who's coached them for 18 years. Reminds me of the Amyx run and last year he was at Logan. PP has a great QB and RB and they have a host of experience coming into 2024. They are big up front like Jackson, so Logan will see the kind of big kids they will see vs Jackson the week after I think.

Logan only had 10 Sophomores on last year's roster so it seems like they may have lost a few. I believe the number is 7 juniors and maybe 18 seniors. I have not seen a roster as of yet and usually wont until game day. locos may get one for his media guide prior to next Friday but usually the roster isnt out until game day or week of for previews for media. The HOF dinner is always Thursday night before the game. This year Crescent (Alford) Rooker (1988), Lisa Bennett (1996), and BJ Hughes (2005) will be inducted before the Jackson game next Friday.

I had gotten 19-0 and the 17-0 scores on FaceBook ... both stated that the varsity score was 3-0 BigBlacks in both cases which was the same score at the half apparently ... looks like all defense for both teams ... any key points to be made for/against either teams' varsity performance on either side of the ball?

... the Jackson vs Logan matchup is done ... the powers that be at Logan dropped the series, Athens will be replacing Jackson in the non-conference side of the Logan schedule for the foreseeable future (at least 4 years?) ... Athens another former SEOAL rivalry opponent ... Jackson has been the most consistent quality opponent year in year out unfortunately for Logan , Jackson holds the series win/loss total - winning I believe 52 wins vs 46 losses 4 ties ... Jackson has won 8 straight matchups with Logan ... Athens has not been the quality opponent for Logan of late on the gridiron so that may be a factor (overall record - better chance to get a W for LHS) ... travel time to/from only 25 minutes (Athens) vs 60 minutes (Jackson) ... both schools travel, especially with the hangover SEOAL rivalry still a factor (at least for the old guard/not so much from the most recent generations - Logan being an independent, now OCC/ Athens in the TVC since leaving the SEOAL) ... so VetteMan you are correct - Logan is dropping the series picking up Athens to open the regular season ...
