Top HS Football Complexes in Southern Ohio
Top HS Football Complexes in Southern Ohio
We all know how nice stadiums such as The Tank, Memorial, and Ed Miller are — but what are some other top venues in the area?
Re: Top HS Football Complexes in Southern Ohio
Valley is really nice with good parking, new field house is nice. Portsmouth is really nice as well, plenty of parking but just scattered around, really like the old stones around the field & the mini levee. Rock Hill stadium really nice, big hill up top is cool, but terrible parking and phone service sucks.

Waverly, Paint Valley has a beautiful view one of the best around. Chillicothe is very solid. Unioto might have the best grass field I have ever seen for a high school team around us.

Hate to admit it, but Jackson.
If we're including just across the river, then I'd say Point Pleasant beats out most every other school in the area.

There’s not a better view than Redmen Stadium on a Friday evening in October. The trees in the background it beautiful. Obviously, I’m biased.
I will say I seen a video of Coal Grove’s facilities and their new bleachers. They have a first class facility and their administration has done a great job with the upgrades.

I might be biased but I think valley has the best. Great parking, large stadium, concessions on both side, brand new field house. I also like the brick wall around the stadium.

Allan Park, Sciotoville. The stands are on top of the benches

It’s small but Paint Valleys turf field with a beautiful backdrop is always fun to see

Logan is a great venue. For a small school, Green has a really nice complex as well.

My beloved Falcons were in the conversation 15 years ago. Unfortunately the board has not invested (in any sport really) any significance for quite a while.
All that said. I think it’s one of the best grass surfaces around and I wouldn’t be surprised if grass comes back into favor the next several years as more and more injury evidence comes back.

Jackson and Point Pleasant are the cream of the crop hands down.

I think Minford’s facilities are underrated as well. Might be a grass field, but it’s kept up well (unless they grow it out to slow down certain teams!!). No track, and bleachers are pretty steep with good sight lines.*CuckooNest wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 6:35 pm My beloved Falcons were in the conversation 15 years ago. Minfords lines are never straight. Annoying.
