I believe this will be a good game. First,it makes sense for these two teams to play each other. Piketon defeated Northwest 26-0 at home. Rockets defeated rival Oaks 15-7 on the road. Wellston held Oak Hill to 98 yards, 27 rushing and 71 passing. Most came on a Wellston prevent defense that did not work. Both teams had a lot of penalties.
Piketon plans to make some noise in the SVC. I think that will be tough but would love to see them pull it off.
This is a big game for both teams. Most are picking Piketon to win but I believe Rockets can go 2-0 if they limit their mistakes. Good luck and injury free for both teams.

Well, doing that against OH doesn’t really mean anything because last year was only a 12-9 win for Wellston and they only put up 15 points this year. While Wellston might be working on turning things around they don’t have near the horse power to keep up with piketon. Defensively holding OH to that isn’t impressive let’s see what week 2 holds as they’re not playing OH.GRFan wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 9:11 pm I believe this will be a good game. Will see where Piketon is at after this one. The defense is the key for the Streaks.

Re: Piketon@Wellston
This was a great game. Both teams laid it on the line. Rockets have enough octane and horse power to beat the Red Streaks 34-27.
Best of luck to Piketon the rest of the way. Definitely a good team. This is a key win to start the season.

Yep and after giving up 34 to Wellston sounds like the same old same for the Redstreaks and that defense. Question is at what point do they make a change on that side of the ball? Obviously it's not working

Sadly there will never be any changes made on defense as long as Tyler is there, not sure why he has not pulled the plug on the D-coordinator! Piketon will continue to be able to score will not be able to stop anyone as long as the staff that is there stays! I have said it for a long time, need new fresh faces on defense.
