This school kicked a player off for racially charged messages at a TikToker recently, but that wasn’t a star so that may have made things easier. Idk who these kids are that did it but that shouldn’t matter when it comes to protecting kids from hazing

Unfortunately, the BOE voted to reinstate the players without punishment. This is a very disturbing, disgusting incident that has left at least one young athlete with deep emotional wounds that will last a lifetime. Shame on you BOE. One member of the board voting this way is of no shock, but the rest of you should be deeply ashamed.
To think that the leadership of a school district would put winning above the safety and well being of its students is horrifying.
The fact that the head coach had not removed the players from the team and reported the incident properly, as a mandated report, is criminal.
PV should have vetted this recruit better!
I believe that the criminal investigation continues and we can only hope that justice is served.
These are sad times for a once storied program.

Obviously you don’t know the facts or you have a kid that you feel should be playing in these players spots. The report on the news was blown way out of proportion. Speculation and rumor mongering ruins lives. If there were infractions, the OHSAA would have made a bigger deal out of it. Soft parents. Smh

Have heard the same. And if there is video of that sort of behavior than they all should lose some game time at minimum. Sounds like the AD and Principal thought a 2 game was sufficient. School board should let people do there jobs.

^^^Haven't heard if there's video or not I'm going to say no simply because given what was done, and that the one is 18 and the mom pushing for charges I simply want to believe that the school wouldn't turn a blind eye to video evidence. I really don't want to believe they knew they couldn't beat West Jeff without the guy that does everything for them and that's why they didn't suspend anyone.

If it is true what happened and if it is a “common” occurrence like some have said, as in it’s happened before and is a “team” thing. There is no way the coaches didn’t know about it. And if they claim they didn’t then maybe they should keep a better eye on what’s going on in the locker room. Not saying things cant happen when a coach steps away or is distracted trying to do something. But this I imagine would have caused a good amount of stir and should have been attention getting. I believe if it is true and there is video evidence, players have to be suspended, length can be debatable. And I believe the coaches should be held accountable as well, they are responsible for the safety and well being of everyone in that program. Football is said to build character and help shape boys into men, there is no place for that in football.

Coaches had to know, and I hope the boys parents seek full punishment to all involved! This kind of stuff cannot go on, this kid is scarred for life! If my son ever thought about doing something like this he would not have to worry about a school board giving a 2 game non-league suspension which is laughable, he would be yanked and be in a boys camp somewhere. This is the problem when coaches bring in recruits to play and are associated in some way. (How many players are actual PV kids on the team or from this area?)

Had it been bench players, the kid would have been off the team and removed from school.

The board not letting the administrators do there jobs is another worrying thing about this. The players were likely to get off easy with suspensions from the school but now momma bear is pissed and it’s going to get much worse because of the board
