Was told when we was at the game that they had to do everything they could to play it tonight because lots of the valley players have a soccer game tomorrow and wouldn’t be able to play a football game tomorrowJeaux Burreaux wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 9:46 pm Wow this game continuing and not Waverly-Unioto is surprising

Nice win by Piketon after last weeks loss, for Valley I don't think many seen them sitting at 0-3 to start the season and with Waverly and Burg the next 2 weeks look for Valley to start off the season 0-5. Unfortunately looks like the turn around is going to have to wait another year

Tough night for Valley. Losing McNeil early in the game killed them. I was surprised to see them under center last night and honestly they ran the ball well. Penalties killed them once again too. They are very improved as a team but there are a couple huge holes that seems to keep them from winning. But I can’t help but think this is a different game if McNeil wasn’t hurt in the first quarter.

I agree, if McNeil plays it is a different game. Valley ran the ball pretty well but the play calling wasn’t good. Throwing the ball after good gains on the ground was not very good. To many int If valley wants to win they will need McNeil healthy and run the ball they r not a passing team

I said this last week and I still believe it’s true, I am watching a different game than some of you. Valley ran the ball all night long. They didn’t throw until late when they were losing or it was 3rd and long. You could tell they were committed to the run by the way they were under center. I only remember 2 throws in the first half, a drop on a long pass and an int. There may have been more but they sure didn’t sling it around last night.

Dan I am with you. After McNeil went down I wondered what Valley would do but Waughtel and Aaron carried the ball a ton. I felt like Valley tried to make it a ground and pound game but got behind and had to throw late but they kept running. I heard Coach this morning on the radio and he talked about McNeil’s loss on defense being so big. I don’t think any score came with him on the field.

Yeah, everyone knows about McNeil the running back, but he is even more important to Valley on defense at linebacker. Hope it nothing serious and he is ready to go next week.Baseball_Dad wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 5:53 pm Dan I am with you. Valley is so much improved (probably 3-4 touchdowns better than last year), but unfortunately it not showing up with their record. Breaking in a new QB has set back the turnaround timeframe, but their kids are playing hard. Still think by end of season they’ll be a D6 playoff team that nobody wants to draw.*

Valley is much improved, I still think there biggest issue is depth. The numbers are up, which is great, but the depth still isn’t there. I know there were at least two TDs against CG that came immediately after they subbed their D tackles.art_vandelay wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 10:16 pmYeah, everyone knows about McNeil the running back, but he is even more important to Valley on defense at linebacker. I saw the same thing vs Piketon. Once McNeil went out, we didn’t have the depth on Defense. I think Ant is more than capable of carrying the load on offense. Defensively we have no one to replace McNeil.
