Gallia academy vs Point Pleasant
Re: Gallia academy vs Point Pleasant
the young devils are fine, injuries have plagued them and they are young and didn't quit, and what doesn't kill you will make you stronger

Wondering the same thing...really surprised by this score. I thought Point was supposed to be solid this year.

Yep. Whole lot of new faces on Friday nights this year. This season is all about growth and development for the future. From what I understand, there wasn't much of an offseason program due to the coaching change. Does anyone on here actually have the team's roster or 2 deep? Curious how many underclassmen are seeing big PT. QB is the only one I know for certain is a Sr.GalliaGrad78 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 6:24 am Good luck to The Blue Devils, keep working. GA is way down. Sounds like Point is struggling

4 seniors start/get quality reps. #1 Ratburn, QB, #76 Chapman C,DT, #4 Watts WR,CB and Smith #69 DT. Other returning starters are Jrs #65 Mock RT, DE, #3 Blair WR, CB (injured) and #9/0 Peterson RB,MLB (Out for season). A few sophomores got reps last year, but for the most part, are new to the varsity team. This year will help them develop.MisterGalliaGuy2016 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 2:20 pmYep. I thought this was supposed to be a good Point team. Heard they got some transfers and Darst thought it’d be one of the better teams he’s had. They lost some good football players from last year.EasternDspy wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 2:41 pmGA is way down. Sounds like Point is struggling

I was wondering why I hadn't heard the Peterson kid's name yet. He was making some plays last year. Something tells me this team is going to make a lot of opposing teams pay for this season. It's not often that Gallia is down and when they are, there's usually a really talented, really angry younger group with a chip on their shoulder. Eddy's 2012 team and Penrod's 2018 team come to immediate mind. That 2018 team would've been freshmen or sophomores during my Sr. year and a couple of those underclassmen saw a lot of snaps because of injuries and overall low numbers. I'm hoping they get the ship righted sooner rather than later, but there's a good group of young talent on this team. They just need a year or two to gel and developtackle81 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 2:57 pm4 seniors start/get quality reps. #1 Ratburn, QB, #76 Chapman C,DT, #4 Watts WR,CB and Smith #69 DT. I completely agree with you on that. The talent is there, and this year is going to be a lot of motivation and help to these younger guys for the next few years.MisterGalliaGuy2016 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 3:53 pmI was wondering why I hadn't heard the Peterson kid's name yet.
