Burg is 1 and 14 combined vs ironton jackson & prep over the last 3 seasons but i never understood why anyone heralded burg as an elite southeastohio program. Burg enjoyed a small window of spotlight when Ironton was down post lutz and pre pendleton. And Holdens time at burg. However burg has only won their own region like 4 times in over the last 3 decades. They had a great season in 2017. Besides that. Ehh. They have never ever been in the same conversation with Ironton as a program overall. All that "superior coaching & culture" nonsense burgs fans yap is just that. Nonsense. All that "burg always gets better as the season goes on" is b.s. also. Burg has not gotten better as a program. They have taken a step back.
