Very strange move. He played against Cabell-Midland last week and considering he transferred from Huntington to Ironton I am surprised he would have left the team
Rumor is he said he would rather get the ball 30 times a game and lose than get the ball 5-6 times a game and win. Heard he wasn’t happy with his playing time

To each their own. This is proof that even if Ironton gets transfers it isn’t all what it’s chalked up to be.
Some kids just do not realize how much work Ironton kids put in. They think they can transfer and just take a spot. They have to earn it

I still can’t believe how bad Ironton put a hurting on St.Francis
Not only on offense but also on Defense.
This Ironton team has a great chance to go all the way this z Friday will be a measuring stick for them
But I don’t see anyone giving them a challenge till deep in the playoffs.
Harvest Prep will be a tough game if we play them but I would favor Ironton by 2 scores if we face them
Ironton is just on another level this year.

Curious if any of the Ironton faithful maybe heard any updates on the player for St. Francis that was carted off.

This Ironton team can hurt you so many ways. Looking at the first quarter force a fumble- one play later 35 yard double move to Terry.
Next drive kick off and Josh Johnson blows up the returner and the defense forces a turn over on first down and then the next play they run a 2 man concept to the field side for a walk in touchdown pass.
Next drive they force a punt Terry makes a big return next drive Williams breaks a long run and then an Edwards touchdown run.
Next drive another punt Terry shows why he is the best playmaker in the area and one of the best in the state. Gets called back but new drive same results. Edwards hits the deep shot to Roach and before you know it St. Francis is broken.

This Ironton team is playing great team football. They are well coached and the kids play the game the right way. Huge test this week

I heard a concussion, and that he was going be alright.

That doesn’t seem like much, but some of these schools are always looking for games; for Moeller, the drive to SEO is one of their shorter trips. Plus, $5k is better than zero.
For a team like Moeller 5K probably is but a drop in the bucket but for certain schools that's a nice pay day. I know for a particular team playing in it next year it's really big.
Very curious about the financials…

I asked my buddy connected with Moeller about this. He said Moeller football is a break even business. They don’t own their own stadium and must pay rent for their home games. Also get nothing from parking, concessions, etc. Lots of fundraising for anything the program needs. This is what o thought but wanted to confirm.

So the $5k is not a lot but probably better than what they get for many of their games.
Moeller does owntheir own stadium, the just are not allowed to play night games there. They built the stadium then asked for permission to put up lights let’s just say, that didn’t end well

I agree Ironton is loaded this year. But if they end up playing a northern ohio team if they make it to the semis or to canton and play a team such as south range or perry or any of the usual suspects in my mind they would be a definite underdog. But they are overdue to win one of these games.

Yes, they do have a football field; definitely would not call it a stadium. But it is a 120 yard field marked off for football.

No chance their neighbors in Montgomery would allow that to become a stadium with all the noise, crowds, etc.

I agree to an extent but this team isn't the big slow Linemen they have size yes but are quick and strong.
And the defense is incredible yet to be truly challenged.
This Friday they should be challenged but i do expect a win.
To talented not to and hungry not to and the coaching has evolved to allow the play makers make plays as a team.
