Week 6: Reedsville Eastern @ Waterford

Post by Watertown »

Pretty much the TVC Hocking Championship right here. I guess we’ll see if the weakest schedule in the state has affected East or not. On the flip side Waterford has faced some pretty tough competition. Who ya got?

Could be a rough 2 or 3 weeks for Eastern, finally playing a few teams with a heartbeat.

I’m not hearing any Eastern excuses if they lose.

Nope. Cause we ain’t gonna lose. Even if they cheat it won’t be enough. It’s 10-0 or bust this year baby. Go Eagles!

No surprise you didn’t make a prediction. Still don’t possess the nads to say anything before the game. Just like with Nelsonville, nary a word from you until after the game.

The question is, will Waterford’s home field “advantage” be enough to make up for how much better Eastern is than them. And that’s hard to gauge. I’m going to say Eastern overcomes all the obstacles and doesn’t miss a beat. It’s great to finally have a coach that knows how to do all the things to build a championship team. Go Eagles!

Can we stop acting like Eastern is some powerhouse???? Like you barely beat Waterford at home last year. You lost to Caldwell in the playoffs. These teams are very similar talent wise. Waterford has played much better competition coming off a big win. Eastern might win but they are not some super team. Wait until Eastern gets into the D6 playoffs.

Eastern has played one of the worst schedules in the entire country, but they still believe they are unstoppable. They are playing three decent teams the next three weeks. Let’s see where they stand after that. They may win all three but I don’t think they will. And you are spot on about them in the playoffs.

Definition of Unstoppable? You think they can win region?

I don’t think they will get out of round 2 let alone win the region. I hope they stagger up on Fort Frye or Northmor.

As a Fort fan I’d love that matchup.

I don’t think ya’ll understand. The weak schedule is by design. We going 10-0 or bust. Only test will be if we can overcome all of what goes with playing at Waterford and at Wahama. If those games were played anywhere else it would be easy.

One thing for certain is if you’re worried about teams like Waterford you will have no chance of going very far in the playoffs. Might as well stay home and save yourself the embarrassment in the postseason.

I would have to go with Waterford at home over Reedsville Eastern.
