WK 6 Rock Hill (4-1) @ Belpre (1-4)

Post by BJCassady »

This is the very first meeting between these two schools.

Rock Hill so far...

Minford (1-4) W 28 - 12
Symmes Valley (1-3) W 35 - 6
Oak Hill (1-4) W 41 - 38
Fairland (5-0) L 14 - 49
S. Point (1-4) W 41 -20

Overall record of opposing teams 9 - 15 .375
Points scored 159 Points against 125

Belpre to date

Monroe Central (5-0) L 12 - 59
Fort Frye (4-1) L 6 - 72
Alexander (2-3) L 0 - 44
Federal Hocking (2-3) L 40 - 48 Overtime
Beallsville (1-4) W 34 - 12

Overall record of opposing teams 14 - 11 .560
Points scored 92 Points against 235

I put this info out here because I don't know much about Rock Hill other than what I have read on this site.

The last 2 games Belpre has played teams equal to their competitive level but we still have things that need cleaned up. We are a young team but have shown improvement against teams that are better than us. We dressed 21 of our 22 players last week and getting the entire team healthy is a huge plus for us. Last week vs Beallsville was our first game this year in which we dressed more than our opponent who dressed 18. Not making excuses because it is what it is.

Rock Hill should be the prohibitive favorite in this match up but if we clean up our mistakes, mental and physical, we will compete and play hard. In spite of some of our earlier scores, we haven't or won't roll over.

Good luck and good health to both teams.

As always...

LETS GO EAGLES!

Really glad to see the Eagles get that first win of the season last weekend. It will probably be pretty hard getting that 2nd W against the Redmen this coming weekend. Good luck, and hope that both teams have an injury free game.

Rock hill has a solid team this year they should move to 5-1 but we’ll start seeing things work out once they play good teams.

Rock hill reepin the benefits of head coach change and will move to 5-1. Glad to see them finally out of that lutz offense and now having success. They’ve always had some good athletes with bigs down the line

RH gets it done despite a brutal bus ride.

The only "brutal" part of the ride is up 93 to the four lane. Then it is smooth sailing to Belpre. Belpre had the brutal ride last week, up to Beallsville. Not terrible, but not great either, especially the last 20 miles. RH wins this game, just hope both teams come out of this one healthy!

2 hours on a school bus is brutal, don't care if it's 4 lane or not.

Rock Hill isn't the "cream of the crop", and still needs work on things, to be able to contend with Fairland, Portsmouth, and Coal Grove. You can bash them all you want, fir beating 1 win teams, but isn't that what you're suppose to do to teams, that aren't very good?

Sure, but is it really a very good season if you have beat a bunch of bad teams with 1 win? I mean I guess if you have low expectations and want to go 6-4 and get throttled in the first round then sure.

Maybe Rock Hill hasn’t played very good teams. Who made the schedule? Not the current coaches. 5-1 is a heck of a start for a team that hasn’t had a winning season for many, many years now.

Agreed SlimShady. I’m curious as to what their record would be if the old staff was still there. I just hope they give the new staff a couple years to build up the program.
