You can’t. That’s a tough team. They played so hard

I’m sick for Nolan and his team. I come on here and just get sicker seeing keyboard warriors taking pop shots like they have a clue. I have had kid play for Nolan in baseball and football coach, and these comments are stupid if you’re not blind.

Read back on this thread, Valley wasn’t given much of a shot. The coaches and kids did everything they could do. Sure there were missed tackles and blocks late, dropped passes, missed kicks, and penalties but that’s part of it. This team and program so much tougher and competitive than in years past. That to me is a positive reflection on the coaching staff. So by all means, keep thinking you’re making a difference in your mom’s basement.

I understand giving the credit to valley for fighting and nearly winning but I have to tip my cap to west. Down 2 scores valley clearly looking to kill the clock and west never wavered. They made stops and got into the endzone. And getting both 2 pt conversions. No such thing as a bad win

Gonna piggy back on this. This is the 4time this year when west could have folded. And without a threat of passing they still manage to play bully ball and score quickly when needed. Valley played hard enough to win as underdogs but West also deserves credit. Its becoming a pattern at this point and a great pattern to have.

For sure…west kids will always play until the final whistle. They get down and still believe they’ll win regardless of score. It’s the culture they’ve built out there.

I know first 2 weeks didn’t go well for West, but they have completely turned their season around. Good chance they get 2 home games in playoffs and now don’t have to worry bout Ironton, Burg, Fairland, Portsmouth, etc. Good luck to them rest of the way.*

West was always going to be a tough out. Their defense made 2 big plays before Valley tried the FG in the 4th. No excuses, West won because they earned it. When Valley kids figure out how to closeout a game, they will be a force. They aren't far off

Valley played well.

Proud of West for finding a way to win again. For many years we found ways to loose. The culture has changed and it’s great to see

Definitely need to play more sound going forward and find a way to get started earlier.

Keep seeing posts about Valley being young. Parker didn’t play defense the first half Friday. West started 8 underclassmen with Woods being the only guy they would really have a difficult time replacing the production. West has a great sophomore class who’s gonna carry this team for the next couple years

Understandable but doesn't West have 3-4 big senior OL?? That's tough to replace

If parker is out, west still has two others who run really well. I would have to assume the game plans haven’t changed from previous weeks, still really predictable on both sides. that in itself could cost them a game going further. it almost happened against waverly. I guess we will see how it plays out. Go west.
That uneasy feeling was there for a reason i guess. valley staff had them right there in position to win it, but fell just short. west kids was put in horrible position from the start and still found a way to win again. way to not give up. i will keep saying it though, west staff really has tons of trouble against other good coaches. week ten always shows the major difference between staffs and this season a few other teams have done the same, it seems to be getting worse. they better not over look northwest this week.

Here we go again. Saying the West staff doesn’t know how to do their job after a comeback WIN. Down 2 scores going into half and come out to 2 straight scores on offense and allowing ZERO points in the 2nd half on defense. They clearly made adjustments at the half and the kids went out and played incredible. Now they have rattled off 5 straight wins and are in line to make a run at ANOTHER SOC title. Yet you want to say the staff is less than a staff that has not accumulated more than 5 wins in a season for the past 3 years. Make it make since, elaborate on your continuing statement of how the staff puts their players in “horrible positions”. Don’t be shy.

No elaboration needed. it has been obvious and you will be exposed again in week 10 and nothing you or any of the other coaches can do about it. just try to keep it positive this year. we all know that is an extreme challenge for you all.
