Burg may be down record wise but will dominate the lines of scrimmage and Waverly 35-0.

I don’t in vision Waverly winning but I don’t think it’s quite a blowout like that. I’d say 24-6 Burg

Just can’t imagine Waverly will be able to stop burgs running game. Waverly might steal a few scores but not enough

Re: Wheelersburg @ Waverly
I see Burg winning this by a few scores they are better than their record
Re: Wheelersburg @ Waverly
Burg just too much in the trenches for Waverly, look for Burg to take this one 28-7. Waverly has the guys on the outside but if the QB doesn't have time to throw it doesn't mean much. Waverly is incapable of stopping the run so I'm sure Burg is going to lean on that very heavily.
Re: Wheelersburg @ Waverly
I’ll go burg. Burg needs to improve on pass coverage. Waverly could give burg some fits on the offensive side of the ball.
Re: Wheelersburg @ Waverly
I think it very well could be a very close ballgame. I will give the nod to the Pirates over the Tigers.

Waverly will need to go all WR and quit loosing yards by trying to run the ball. 5 wide and hope you can outscore them. They will score on waverly every time they have the ball. Normally Waverly coaching against burg is pretty bad. Hope the coaches and kids show up and put up a good fight. Burg will be ready will Waverly make adjustments and be ready for the burg for once?

The Burg seems to own Waverly even when the talent matchup is somewhat even. I think I saw a stat somewhere that Waverly has only beaten the Burg a dozen times or so since the 1970s. Of course the Pirates can claim dominance over all SOC foes..

Re: Wheelersburg @ Waverly
I think this will be a running clock. In my opinion, there is not much difference in Waverly, West, and Valley. Even with Burg losing quite a few games in the beginning, they are in full control of the SOC.
Re: Wheelersburg @ Waverly
Didn’t see the game but stat wise it looked like oak hill threw the ball around pretty good on the burg

When did Waverly rejoin the SOC?? As of 1970 I know they were still in the SEOAL they had a 19-0-1 record 69 and 70 season with the tie being to Jackson. IDK when Waverly rejoined the SOC but they beat Burg in 1987 I believe it was and didn't beat them until 2001 I think it was. So Burg has definitely had some runs of dominance over Waverly.
