I think Gallia Academy is turning into a good fit. Not sure how they like the OVC. Maybe they love it there I don’t really know

The way my Cavs look of late I’d say Chillicothe haha. Kind of sad though. Would be a competitive fit in the major sports.

Gallia Academy would make sense. It would make sense travel wise, competition wise, and rivalry wise.

Gallia, definitely. Vinton County, Meigs, RV, Athens, Wellston all relatively close rivals. NY probably the longest trip at an hour 15 or so. River Valley is 10 minutes. Meigs is a half hour away. VC is 45ish minutes away.

Makes too much sense. OVC is a Lawrence Co. league, plus Portsmouth. Gallia is going an hour one way, at minimum, for every road game. Ridiculousness. Only Athens, Alex, and NY would take that long in the TVC. GA is around the same size as Meigs and VC, smaller than Athens, slightly bigger than RV, Wellston, Alex, and NY. Makes too much sense. Get it done.

With Waterford talking about how good they think they are I think they should move to the Ohio Division. They already beat Alexander and Nelsonville so who couldn’t they play with? Plus they lose to Fart Frye every year just like any other Ohio Division team that plays them does. It’s a no brainer to me.

Oak Hill was extended an offer and declined so I doubt they will ever be a member. Warren has tried and failed multiple times. I could see Gallia looking for a fresh start in a new conference but I’m not sure the TVC would want them. It would help if they had an updated football stadium imo. Marietta, Fort are longer drives than Warren. I don’t see any hocking schools jumping up to the Ohio either.

With the current status of the TVC, I would love to see RV play football in the hocking and all other sports in the Ohio with NY doing the opposite. That would even out the Ohio division for football with no one needing to join.

Out of any of the teams possible for expansion, I think Gallia may be the top of the list but with Oak Hill just pulling the string of the TVC, I’m not sure they would or will be willing to reach out for anyone at the moment. Fed hock will be back in the hocking for football in 2 years so that helps the hocking. The Ohio could move RV down in football only and NY to the hocking for all sports but football. That would even the conference at 6 teams for football. Ideally the league gets to 8 teams but I just don’t see who else the TVC would approach besides Gallia. I wouldn’t be against Gallia btw.

Good thoughts Dundas. I don't think TVC Hocking will take any TVC Ohio team. I could be wrong.

In terms of RV Vs the Hocking.

Since 2014 RV is..

4-3 Vs Eastern
4-1 Vs South Gallia (as a TVC hocking member)
0-1 Vs Trimble

Combined 8-5

Vs the TVC Ohio, they are a combined 12-45.

Crooksville needs to wise up and join the TVC hocking. Natural rivalry with Trimble and Waterford... Who they play every year in all sports. They played close games with Southern the last 2 years. It just makes sense. Travel to Southern and Eastern could be rough but the games would be more competitive that TV, JG, Sheridan. I know theres a 0.000001% chance they leave the MVL but i'm just saying it makes sense. Sorry to keep beating a dead horse

Warren should be added to the TVC Ohio. This is long overdue. Now that Athens has beaten them they might have a chance. We’ll see if there are still enough schools that are afraid of them to keep them out.
