Week 9: Caldwell (4-4) v Toronto (6-2)
Week 9: Caldwell (4-4) v Toronto (6-2)
Most likely the last game at the Noble County Fairgrounds for the Redskins. One common opponent between these two is Edison. Caldwell lost 34-15 while Toronto lost 35-19. Torontos QB is currently committed to the Cincinnati Bearcats and I believe they have another player getting some D1 looks. Seems Toronto likes to air it out so they secondary will have to come ready to play. Caldwell will definitely need to force a few turnovers in this one. Thoughts on the game?

Toronto coach must be good at networking. Watched some of the Newcomerstown game. This Toronto team is very over hyped. I’ll take Caldwell.raindelay wrote: Tue Oct 15, 2024 12:50 pm Most likely the last game at the Noble County Fairgrounds for the Redskins. One common opponent between these two is Edison. Good luck and good health to both teams tonight. Gonna take the Skins in a close one as a farewell to the old field

Caldwell playing without one from the line and also Herlan out for the year. Radio said he injured his other knee

Mistakes really hurting Caldwell. Skins onside kick to start 2nd half and recover. Drive to the Toronto 3. Snap goes over Crocks head and Toronto recovers

I agree with EDSpy that Toronto is the most over-hyped team. Caldwell, if healthy, probably wins going away. Good luck vs. Shenandoah

Preface this by saying I don’t see a ton of teams, mostly only local ones, but Kinsey was probably one of the better pure QB’s I’ve seen in a while. And when he ran, which wasn’t a ton, he still ran pretty hard. Both teams moved the ball pretty well, but Caldwells mistakes in the red zone (two high snaps, one recovered by Toronto) really did them in. Torontos receivers seemed to have a little more speed and height than Caldwells secondary. Just a half step behind on some big pass plays.
At one point Caldwell ran the same off tackle play with Crock about 4-5 times in a row for some big gains and Toronto didn’t adjust. For the size they seemed to have I wasn’t overly impressed with their line play. I’m not sure they make it out of the 2nd round
