The final week of the regular season is upon us. Some important placement games are on the docket!

Tri Valley @ John Glenn. Tri Valley rolls in this one to be crowned Big School Champs.
Philo @ Morgan. Philo by 2-3 scores
River View @ Coshocton. Coshocton scores 50+
New Lexington @ Sheridan. Sheridan by a score
Maysville @ Crooksville. Panthers roll
West Muskingum @ Meadowbrook. Tornadoes roll

Playoff Picture
D3
Tri Valley looks to be locked into the 3 seed in R11. IN
Sheridan looks to have secured a playoff spot. A win against NL Would get them out of the bottom 3, a loss and they’re traveling to a top 2 seed. IN
John Glenn can not get into playoffs, even with a huge upset of TV. OUT

D4
New Lex appears to be a 3-5 seed. A win against big brother locks them in at 3, a loss drops them to 5. IN
Philo will finish 9-10 in R15, depending on level 2 points. IN
Maysville got a huge surprise win over Meadowbrook last week, but it’s too little too late for the Panthers. Out

D5
West M is in the 5-7 range in R19. They have been destroying teams since their RV forfeit. The way this bracket appears to be shaping up with Prep and Ironton on the same side, West could very well be a Regional Finalist.
Meadowbrook needed a win last week with Maysville to stay in the hunt. OUT
Coshocton will pick up win #2 this week. OUT
Morgan got their first and last win last week. OUT
River View has been outscored 477-13 this year. OUT

The MVL will send 5 schools to the postseason this year after 7 a year ago. I think Sheridan is the only one of the five that doesn’t win their round 1 game. Regardless, it’s an exciting time as TV, NL, and WM have all put up a bunch of points this year, so they should have a punchers chance in nearly every game.

The keys to the Raider win

It was a bend, but don't break Raider defense that didn't give up the big play and caused two lost fumbles. The Raider offense had big plays in their scoring drives and didn't turn the ball over. Philo ran 59 plays to 37 for Morgan and outgained the Raiders 251-218. Philo had 19 first downs to nine for Morgan. There were five punts in the game, but neither team had a three-and-out, keeping the clock running.
