Wk 10: Mt Healthy (7-2) vs. Waverly (5-4)

Post by Zahns Corner »

Waverly closes out the regular season with a home game against Mount Healthy from the Cincinnati area. The Owls are 7-2, and ranked 5th in Division 2 Region 8. Waverly, although appearing playoff bound, is staggering to the finish, unable to run the ball or mount an effective defense. Although you have to give Waverly credit for scheduling up, the best the Tigers can hope for is a running clock and no injuries. Mt. Healthy prevailed last year 42-6.

Here is Mt. Healthy's season to date:

Waverly playoff status:

Are the Tigers in with the expected loss?

Running clock, best Waverly can hope for in this one is to come away healthy. Hopefully a lot of the Waverly faithful come out for this one to see the types of teams Waverly has had to deal with in the playoffs last few years. Very fast, very hard hitting team, their coaches won’t back off either 52-6

Even though the Tigers are at home, this one may not end well at all.

Fun fact Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery went to Mt Healthy. Unfortunately for Waverly this will get ugly, on the bright side it’s the last year they have to play them

The Tigers are in even with the loss assumng Miami Trace doesn't lose again and things look even better if Zane Trace can beat an injury riddled Paint Valley.
If my math is right (and I won't expect to be right) it will be Waverly at Philo in Week11

That would electric 😎 ! Did not the Tigers see Philo at the preseason scrimmage at Court House ?

It would be a huge crowd for Unioto and I'd like to think Waverly would bring it also but let's be honest Unioto has been improving week in and week out as this season has gone on. Waverly has gone the other direction since week 1 and they're getting ready to take on a Mt. Healthy team that at best Waverly just needs to try and come out healthy (no pun intended) because it's going to get ugly.

9 4-5 Plain City Jonathan Alder 9.9056
11 5-4 Waverly Waverly 9.5556

As they currently stands right now, so in the above scenario on Pasteur's it's only taking it out to the 100th, where you can see above as they currently sit I'm guessing that 1000th number would be different.

QB 1 for MT Healthy going into the record books for all time passing yards. He is closing in on 8,000 passing yards. On the season he is at 2,893 and 31 td passes

Yeah he's got some big stats and currently has 8 offers, WR/CB Jaimier Scott is committed to Wisconsin, Sanders another WR with multiple offers,

Will be curious to see how the Tigers come out and respond after last weeks big let down. They will be facing a spread attack so hopefully they will matchup better with that defensively. But man, Mt Healthy is so athletic it will be a tall task even if the defense comes out playing well. I’m afraid they may just run past us, maybe the Tigers can dial up some pressure to not give them time to do so. If the offense can come out and put some points on the board early and give us some confidence I think this could turn into a shootout. Either way the Tigers will be playing week 11, so no matter how the game goes tonight, they need to turn the page and focus on going 1-0 from here on out.
Big senior class being celebrated tonight, would love to see them end the regular season on a win. Hoping everyone comes out injury free either way.

Need to try to give them a short field, can’t cover the deep ball what so ever
