I watched the YouTube stream and couldn’t tell at all if he was in, but he definitely wasn’t a yard short. Looked like he was right at the line but couldn’t tell if over it or just an inch or two short.

Either way, I’m not a NY guy, but NY was bullying Athens with the run game in the 2nd half, so kind of hard to pout after that one.

Screenshot the moment the knee was down. Definitely not a yard short, but no way to tell where the ball actually is at that moment. Referee had the best down the line view, nobody can say anything definitive while looking at a video from a back angle or in the stands. Could have been short, could have broken the plane by a centimeter.

Yeah NY was the better team tonight. Seemed like they were in control all night but never could pull away

This is what I do know and watch the video 5 minutes after a play ended refs dropped a flag and buried Nelsonville and they responded with a 35 yrd gain to put the dogs in the kennel!!!
Multiple horse collars and definitely 4 facemask on our QB that side judge refused to call !!
Athens straight up got beat up on the line of scrimmage

Refs definitely missed a few holding calls on Athens also.

What a performance by Ny's offensive and the Ny defense. NY defense held Athens to under 200 yards of offense and Pero to under 100 rushing. NY offense ran the ball 53 times and had 2 drives (one 15 plays and one 16 plays that resulted in TD's).
My thoughts from the blechers was Athens thought they were coming in and blowing out the buckeyes. The Buckeyes played with great energy from the first play to the last. Congrats to the Buckeyes for putting a 26th TVC title on the wall and good luck to both teams in the playoffs.

NY played big time in this one. Thought Athens would win big, but the Buckeyes were more than ready. When your towns heart is football, they always come to play to play.

So much for the T. V. C. Title running thru Athens.
Great job by N. Y. Coaches and players.

Nelsontucky would have finished third in the Hocking this year. Athens would have fought it out for 4/5th.
