If those are the official matchups, Prep, IHS, and Columbus Academy on the same side of the bracket.

Also, tough opener for Burg and Barnesville. Burg with the long trip to play a really good opponent. Barnesville drawing a tough #14.

Yeah Ironton vs Prep before regional final is a shame but have to meet up eventually. Agreed horrible draw for Barnesville

Barnesville is very unfortunate to draw a constantly improving Burg team in week 11. That said, I watched the livestream of Barnesville/Union Local last night and Barnesville looked SCARY. If Barnesville beats Burg, they more than likely will be waiting for Prep, Ironton, or Columbus Academy. I haven’t seen much of Columbus Academy but I have watched Ironton and Prep in person. Across the board, Prep is the better football team on paper. Ironton’s o-line, d-line, and lbs are average at best but their weapons on offense and secondary on defense help close the gap. Ironton has a real edge in coaching and preparation. That regional semi final, assuming they both get there, will be a war.

I think the winner of that game has a strong shot at making it to the finals!

After first round of playoffs:

Portsmouth at Ironton
West Muskingum @ Fairland
Columbus Academy @ Harvest Prep
Wheelersburg @ Union Local

Ironton and Harvest Prep I would say are safe. The other two games I wouldn’t want to put any money on either way.

I would say:
Ironton—blowout
Columbus Academy— wins in a close game
Wheelersburg—wins in a close game
West Muskingum/Fairland—toss up but give Fairland the edge
