Barnesville is loaded this year and averaging 52 a game with a stingy defense to boot. Burg the last 4 weeks has played a fairly easy schedule since that 12-6 HP loss. If Barnesville jumps out early they'll run away with but if Burg can keep it close that's something Barnesville hasn't seen yet this year and you never know how a team will react. With that being said I just think Barnesville is too much this year, will be rooting for Burg but taking Barnesville by 17.

I’ve posted in other threads that Barnesville will have a hard time against the top teams in the region including Burg; but if you’re going come up to Belmont Co with the arrogance I’m reading on here then the Rocks will tear you up.

You have to understand they’ve had Wheelersburg circled for a year

Maybe you jumped straight to posting a comment without reading but there hasn't been any arrogance posted on this game. Maybe you're a Barnesville parent and have had your calendar circled for a year hoping for a rematch but there hasn't been anything of arrogance posted well outside of your post.

What are you talking about? Most of the predictions on this thread are for a tough game or a Barnesville win. Based on the comments, most are favoring Barnesville!

Wheelersburg should I win this. They’ve played a much better schedule and they have superior coaching and culture.

IDK , if BURG has stayed Healthy. I do know they seem to peak at right time.

I think BURG is healthy , they pull this victory off & the S.O.S. Has put them in a position to do so.

I think they will be in Regional final, to face the team that survives on the other-side of the bracket as it appears to be arranged at this “unofficial” moment.
I may be wrong, but I don’t think they beat Fairland this year. Fairland may also lose first round too.

I guess I don't understand the Fairland comment. Burg didn't play them. As for arrogance, I don't see that and I'm a Burg fan. Having faith and confidence in your team is one thing but arrogance is another. Being 10-0 is an accomplishment. I'll give props to Barnesville for that. I've been through your little town many times on the way to the coal mines and seen the shamrocks on the telephone poles. You have a great tradition like the Burg. Don't let the Burgs 6-4 record fool you. I think this is becoming a rivalry, much like the Burg had for a few years with Ridgewood. Burg won some and Ridgewood did as well. Should be a good ballgame. I said Burg by one or 2 touchdowns. I have faith in my team. If the Burg that played HP shows up then it should be a dandy.

No one is overlooking the shamrock. Tall task for burg to go up and get a win. Good luck pirates.

Don't be drug into the superior crap the troll is laying out. Been doing it all year.
I would have to say Portsmouth West. Their last game and their rival. West had some kids that could run. I was surprised at the outcome. If West had played mistake free it would've been a different ballgame.

Let's also not forget that Barnesville is the smallest D5 school in the state. If I'm not mistaken they should have been in D6 this year, but we're forced by OHSAA to stay in D5 based on last year's success.

West had depth issues and I suspect barnesville will too if burg can stay with them. Barnesville hasn’t been in one game where they’ve had to fight for four quarters. Their offense has put away their opponents quick.

Union local moved the ball but they had 4 picks in the first half, two deep in Barnesville territory and a botched snap on a punt led to a short field and punt that went one yard. Before Union local knew it, they were down 27 points.

That’s why it is important for burg to play mistake free and stay with barnesville or even a td ahead. The shamrocks offense is really good. They will take advantage of any burg mistakes

The Burg has been playing mistake free for the most part lately but good defenses can cause turnovers.

Burgs own fans claimed superiority. Now they gotta live with the claim. Don't whine about it now. Prove it.

Barnesville 34
Burg 21
After watching Barnesville/Union local, Barnesville is just too much.
