What’s everyone’s thoughts on this one? Very similar teams, run and run some more. I think Portsmouth may actually have more passing stats on the year. Tough 8-9 matchup, I believe this is the first home playoff game for the Trojans in this new stadium?

I think Portsmouth can win this game. Maybe clearcreek schedule was harder I’m not sure. But if the Trojan team that played and acted like they did last night shows up they won’t win. Winner of this will be right up 52 and playing ironton.

Amanda Cc state Champs 99, 2000. Several state runners up in same time period. Not the same program anymore. If Portsmouth cleans up the penalties they have a chance in this one.

If the Trojans will behave themselves on the field, and anybody who watched the Ironton game knows what I'm talking about, then PHS can win this game. Hopefully they'll be a heart to heart talk by the coaches to the players about how to conduct yourself as a Trojan representing not only the team and school, but the Portsmouth community as a whole.

I know it’s a what if but anyone who has watched the aces this year should know this isn’t the team from last couple years. They have self inflicted themselves in every loss but Carroll. They could easily be 9-1. They had game winning touchdowns called back in every loss but Carroll.

They are banged up right now there star running back should be back Friday night. We shall see if his counter part will be there with him. This should be a great high school football game. Going with the aces here to win it on the strong leg of there kicker. Aces 20-17

Haven’t seen Portsmouth play but Amanda has 2 very fast RBs. They killed us with a pitch play all game. If Portsmouth can get the edge they’ll be good

Portsmouth in this one if they play under control and disciplined.
They are very quick to be sure and I know they want to prove the Ironton game was a fluke and play Ironton again to prove it.
In order to do that they need to cut down the penalties and play smart.

This game is very special. This will be the first ever home playoff game the Trojans will host in the Trojan Coliseum. Lots of big games have been played there since it opened in 2009, including a few playoff games the Trojans didn’t participate in. The last time Portsmouth hosted a home playoff game was in 2002 at Spartan Stadium where they beat Waverly 53-28. The last time the Trojans played Amanda Clearcreek was to open the 2000 football season. They beat the Aces 13-6. Amanda went on to win the D5 state championship that year, while the Trojans lost a heart breaker to Van Wert 28-21. The Trojans almost met the Aces in 2009. Amanda got the 1 seed and Portsmouth almost got the 8, ended up not making playoffs as the 9.

These teams mirror one another, a whole lot of running and very little passing. Portsmouth definitely seems to throw more of the 2 teams. Should be a physical & fast paced game. Give me the home Trojans to get penalties cleaned up here in week 11 to move on to week 12 with a date up the river with the team that just embarrassed them on senior night. Clean things up, stay healthy and go give the Tigers your best shot, but the focus for now is on Amanda. Go Trojans!

Good lord $16 bucks going to break the bank. Go out and support these kids. They deserve it. Yea OHSAA takes more than they should, but the host school still gets paid a portion. And the $5 parking goes to good causes to help the kids. Heaven forbid the kids win and you have to add the price of gas onto that $16 next week. If WC would happen to win that could be an extra $30 bucks.
