I apologize for the delay, been spending some time with family out of town. But, it’s playoff time!!!
3 Tri Valley vs 14 Carrollton. Tri Valley has blown the doors off of anyone and everyone not named Clinton Massie, who they still beat. They are as talented of a team from top to bottom as I may have seen in our league. Last I saw Carrollton was against Ohilo a couple years ago. Think TV is 3+ scores better. A plug for one of my favorite basketball X accounts - Martin RPI… TV is the 6th best team in D3. Carrollton is 41. With a win, their path to a regional championship would be the winner of 19 Granville/ 33 Dover, 4 Steubenville, and 1 Bishop Watterson. Region 11 is brutal!! I’m sure TV would love to get revenge on a Granville team that put them out of the playoffs last year, but if their starting QB is indeed out, Dover will have a significantly better chance in that game.
3 New Lex vs 14 Canton South. New Lex is riding high off of their first win over Sheridan in over a decade and have beaten everyone on their schedule not named TV. Stephens looked like a man on a mission last week. Canton South is not the same Canton South they were last year (deep sigh of relief for the Panthers). However, they certainly did not lose everyone from that state semifinal team. NL will need to contain their athletes. I’ll take NL by 2 scores. Martin RPI has NL as the 12th best team in D4 and Canton South as 59th. To win the region, they’d need to beat Canton South, the winner of 29 Logan Elm/ 53 Philo, 8 Indian Valley, and 3 St Clairsville.
6 Logan Elm vs 11 Philo. If you had asked me a handful of weeks ago, I’d have said Philo easy, but their last few weeks have not been great, highlighted by a 1 point loss to, at the time, 1-8 Morgan. If Philo can get their Talon’s going, they’ll have a shot. Logan Elm plays in a tough league and they appear to have lost the ones they were supposed to, won the ones they were supposed to, and had close games in the toss ups. Logan Elm has gone 25-5 in the regular season the last 3 years. Logan Elm by 10. Of the Electrics find a way to win, they’d get a week 2 rematch with NL and then follow the same path, Indian Valley, St Clairsville.
7 West M vs 10 Africentric. West has been on a tear since their 2-2 start, absolutely demoralizing every opponent they’ve seen down the back stretch. They are solid at every position and well coached. I’m certain that they will be the more physical team in this matchup. Africentric is probably not the most ideal matchup though, as 3 losses are to teams combined 26-4 including D2 does DeSales and Walnut Ridge. All other games were convincing wins. Africentric has speed and athletes. I’ll take West M by 3 scores in a statement win that puts the region on notice. Martin RPI has West M as 22 and Africentric as 31. Their path to a regional championship would be 8 Fairland, the winner of 7 Barnesville/39 Wheelersburg, and then the winner of 1 Ironton/ 5 Harvest Prep. The bracket favors the tornadoes with the best 2 teams, and Columbus Academy on the other side.

Re: MVL Week 11!!
Tri Valley - Opens up well with this matchup... easy win.
New Lex - I think NL rides high from hosting another playoff game, but this time not vs a private power. Also South driving nearly 2 hours will make a difference. NL by a few.... (Good thing South doesn't have Poochie anymore!!)
Logan Elm - LE take this one easy in my opinion. Don't sit here and tell me you're going to compete when you lose to that Morgan team! Something is off there. Logan Elm at home vs some of the teams they play.... Cash
West M - WM I think is in a game for a little bit.... then a mistake or two will happen and a very efficient West team will jump all over them and it'll snowball. West is very efficient and very disciplined, a good recipe for playoff success. I hope to see a big run out of the tornadoes this playoffs.

TV - Running clock. Scotties have all the pieces to win multiple playoff games. They must clean up the penalties and turnovers as they move forward. Survivable week 10 and 11 but not past that in R11.
NL - Panthers by 3 TD’s, that offense is legit.
LE - Philo loss to Morgan is quite puzzling. Tough to be a one trick pony and win in the playoffs. Electrics will limit possessions but I’ll take LE by 2 TD’s.
WM - Athleticism vs Physicality and Discipline. This one will be close till it’s not. Tornadoes wear them down and win by 3 TD’s.

Poochie!!!
The one wrinkle in that NL-Canton South game… South did generally ‘fine’ apparently against Northwest and Triway. Both those teams are similar to what New Lex does on offense.
