Playoff appearance number 21 for NY. This will be the first ever matchup between the Buckeyes and the Jets.

Tough draw for the Jets. NY should win this one.

I wasnt that impressed with union local against barnesville, I thought waverly looked better than them. They had a couple of nice players but QB wasnt accurate. Line was average. Ill go NY on this one. Could be wrong. Union may have had an off night or barnesville was that much better.

I think the Buckeyes had two nights they were off when they lost to Logan and Waterford. If they could somehow replay them again NY would win.

Looking at both schedules I will take Union Local by a touchdown or 2. Both teams are very tough but Union Local has a really good young group of athletes right now and they are tough. Schedule wise I give the edge to Union Local. Toughness seems like Nelsonville kids are always playoff ready so you have to factor that in. Should be an interesting game .

Going with Union Local by touchdown. Still could see the Buckeyes pull it off.

Bucks are also pretty young. Most starters are sophomores or juniors. A freshman started in the secondary against Athens due to injury and played pretty well. The freshman QB that was hurt this year can really sling the ball. Should be another dog fight at Boston Field Friday night.

Basing this solely off NY’s loss to Waterford, I’ll take UL by 10+

Logan is always a tough win for NY because of the sheer difference in size of the schools, but I think its a game that should be played every year like it used to be. That game was always a great gage for adjustments that needed to be made before TVC play began.

With Waterford, this isn't a knock on them at all because they usually have a good team, but I don't know why NY scheduled this game to begin with. Our tradition is playing larger schools in nonconference, or legacy smaller schools like Trimble and Newark Catholic. Trimble is the only Hocking school NY should ever play. And maybe it was because no one else was available that week, but I hope that game is replaced with a traditional larger school after next season. Again, not knocking on Waterford, because they are and usually have a good team. It's just not part of the NY tradition in nonconference scheduling.

Don't think Union Local is will take NY lightly but if Jets control line of scrimmage its a 2-TD win for 49ers' Colton McKivitz' alma mater.

UL’s qb was out against barnesville. Backup had a rough first half outing to say the least. 3-4 year starter should be back!
If he plays I’d say Union Local by a score to set up a rematch with barnesville.

Union Local 23
Nelsonville-York 13
Final

Late pick six, seals the game. Another good season bucks! Team is young and will be back. Chase for TVC title number 27 starts tomorrow.

“Rematch with Barnesville.” Didn’t even consider that Burg might win?
