Injuries could be a blessing in disguise as Fort Frye will return 7-8 lineman that have started a game next season. Including an all state level player in Dayne Miller who missed most the season. Also Cadets will return Qb , Wr , FB and Wing. Only losing Clayton of guys that touched the ball. Cadets should have a great team next season if they get guys back.OhioSportsGuyMike wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 9:29 pm What year is Kainan Bradford & Tyce Beardsley? I thought they were also seniors? Feel like this'll be a close game. Trail seems to play some close ones against teams that on paper look superior.
Nothing better than a great tan on a nude beach!

If I recall, Fort Frye had about 23 players dressed when they played their cross river rivalry the cats, they only had a handful of guys on the sidelines, whereas Waterford has 39 based on their roster from the preseason- and the cats only play about 11 or 12 on both sides of the ball. Waterford graduates seven or eight seniors, but have 25 underclassmen between ninth and 10th grade.Whs95fan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 7:18 pmWhat Buckeye said, for a school their size the roster is definitely on the smaller end. Waterford for example who is less than a mile away and has a smaller enrollment has probably 15-20 more kids on the roster this season. When I talked to Dspy last week he did mention that some kids who chose not to play this season are planning to next year, as to how many I don't know.buckeyefan71 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 6:55 pmFF doesn't have 50-75 guys on the roster... Seems to me that every year you’re on here saying how FF has a lot of injuries. I’m not doubting you at all. But maybe someone should look into why they have so many injuries every year. Doesn’t seem normal to me. But what do I know.
If both teams pull out wins, it will be a battle between rivals, which would be pretty great to see. Not sure how many teams would play in the playoffs only being a mile apart.
Not sure Waterford has it in them to beat Fairbanks. They will have to rely on just more than one player. The cats have a lot of weapons, not sure they capitalize on the talent they have on the team. When they played Fort Frye, heard it was run run run and not get anywhere and then started to air it out and made it down the field and scored. When they played trimble - Looking across, they had a couple kids that were probably 6-2 or taller that never saw the field offense or defense. Couple of them played special teams - Don’t think their top receiver has even scored a TD this season. He’s a big kid too.
Fairbanks has a great coach and a pretty solid team. Waterford would have to definitely change their offense a little and probably some of their defense specialists to squeak out a win this one.
As much as I’d like to see a rival regional game, I’m taking Fairbanks by 14.

Wouldn’t say Waterford didn’t try to pass. Heck they didn’t get a first until end of the 3rd. They only scored one time.Kittyhunter27 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 3:53 pmIf I recall, Fort Frye had about 23 players dressed when they played their cross river rivalry the cats, they only had a handful of guys on the sidelines, whereas Waterford has 39 based on their roster from the preseason- and the cats only play about 11 or 12 on both sides of the ball. Fort does need to play 4 QTs though. They’ve been inconsistent and have rarely put 4 QTs together. They had a 28-7 lead on Marietta and almost lost it. Cadets do have the talent to win on Friday. Fort only plays 14 guys on offense and defense so 1-2 injuries can hurt them.

Good luck to FF tonight. Would like to see them beat the old PVC foe.

Waterford and FF are gonna play in the playoffs. That’s awesome. Should be a huge crowd for that game.

Fort Frye scored on every drive but 1 tonight. Got to give Trail credit they never gave up. Those 2 point conversions kept them in the game. Soph Qb Mcglumphy is a dog. Trail is really young they will be one of the top teams next season. Fort running game was impressive. All 3 backs really excelled. Bradford had his best game when it mattered.
