Week 11 (5-5) #13 West Holmes @ (9-1) #4 Unioto
Re: Week 11 (5-5) #13 West Holmes @ (9-1) #4 Unioto
I’ll take West Holmes & the Tanks lose again to a lower seed.
Re: Week 11 (5-5) #13 West Holmes @ (9-1) #4 Unioto
Unioto has to come out and do 2 things in this ballgame
They must control the LOS on both sides of the ball. The Tanks have to initiate contact and control the line. If Unioto wins in the trenches they can make a nice run in the playoffs. Second they must win the turnover battle. I really hope that the secondary can come up with a few interceptions. Force a few fumbles.
Let’s Roll Tanks!!

Will be tough, but hopefully the Tanks will play well and have a chance in the 4th quarter
Re: Week 11 (5-5) #13 West Holmes @ (9-1) #4 Unioto
21-21 at half. 3 TDs for Braden. Unioto has gotten WH to 3rd and lkng a few times but their QB is shifty and they run a lot of screens. No punts in the first half for either team
Re: Week 11 (5-5) #13 West Holmes @ (9-1) #4 Unioto
West Holmes 28-21 final. Unioto got some stops and was in their territory the whole 4th quarter. Truthfully the Playcalling was awful all second half. We got too cute in the redzone. Braden was getting 5+ yards a carry. Coy was very nervous the whole 2nd half and threw 2 pics and had 3 get dropped. Unioto played a hell of a game and deserved better.
Re: Week 11 (5-5) #13 West Holmes @ (9-1) #4 Unioto
Hell of a game by Cody Braden. 3 touchdowns and forced a huge fumble on an interception at the end of the game to give us a chance
Re: Week 11 (5-5) #13 West Holmes @ (9-1) #4 Unioto
Only score in the 2nd half was the first drive and West Holmes ran a pick back to the 1. I don’t think they got more than 2 first downs in the 2nd half
Re: Week 11 (5-5) #13 West Holmes @ (9-1) #4 Unioto
Man, tough one yet again for Unioto as they just can't get over the hump in the playoffs. Congrats on the SVC gold ball time to get ready for next year

Unioto had iso match ups out of the 3x1 sets with Cutright in a match up he wins and didn’t get him any looks.
Felt they went away from trying to get Hoops the ball in the middle of the field.
Braden has a special night and at the end of the game ultimately the Tanks left way too many plays and opportunities on the field.
3 years in a row losing playoff games as a 4-2-4 seed things have to change in the playoffs to get over the hump. Unioto should have won this game tonight defense played amazing in the second half

Just watched it back, easily the best performance by Unioto in a playoff game against a real qualifying team.
Probably should have kept pounding Braden, but I will say that once it got in the red zone, those 6-7 yard gains were pretty much gone. But, I think after he makes the play to save the game, probably should have just went to Braden on first down, because WH did very well at stretching the jet sweeps for Zickafoose. Braden at least would have gotten to the LoS, so 2nd and 10 instead of 2nd and 14 and its much more attainable.
It’s a disappointing loss for sure though. At some point, our guys will get over the top and I think once it happens, it will be a pretty consistent chance to win yearly. Lots and lots of talent coming back, but it’s definitely a really good group that is graduating as well.

First game I’ve seen Unioto not look overmatched and actually compete in the playoffs. I think West Holmes handles East Liverpool next week too. I think returning Coy, Braden, Zickafoose, Long and getting Woods back, Unioto will be fine with skill players next year. But with Griffin, James and some other lineman graduating from an already thin group up front, they’ll need to figure out how to get it done up front. This is the best Unioto has been up front compared to past playoff gamesdanicalifornia wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 12:28 am Just watched it back, easily the best performance by Unioto in a playoff game against a real qualifying team.

100% agreed. I’ve heard they have some talented younger linemen, but have dealt with some injuries there that made it so thin. So, hopefully can develop those this off-season, because the skill kids are going to be outstanding.Tanks3232 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 12:36 amFirst game I’ve seen Unioto not look overmatched and actually compete in the playoffs. Honestly, if you had told me 10 years ago that I’d be disappointed with a Week 11 loss, I would’ve called you a liar, so it’s a good problem to have actual expectations for Unioto Football.

Congrats Unioto on a great regular season, just came up a little short in the post season.

I couldn’t be more pleased. It’s time for ThE U to find a new conference. Beating up on D5 and D6 schools as they grow and will potentially hit D3 in the next few years and gloat about dominance is pathetic. Sad really. 3 straight 1st round bow outs. Lol. Coach of the year?!? My dog could coach a D4 team to gold balls against this conference. Pitiful

Y’all are the biggest cry babies. It was supposed to be PVs gold ball season then what happened? You got smacked in the mouth all year. Go cry somewhere else and tell Robertson and the boys to stop hazing and bullying freshmen. You got bigger issues2pvfballers wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 4:43 pm I couldn’t be more pleased. It's never a d6 teams to win the league playing a big bad d4 team. Good to see the "U" do their week 11 normal and lose. If the Robertson kid would have transferred to y'all he would have been the best thing since Chevrolet and Apple Pie to you guys.Tanks3232 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 5:06 pmY’all are the biggest cry babies.
