And they do it for free.
Agree it wasn’t great. I’m obviously not an Ironton supporter but I can read. The announcer called Sturgill Strugill numerous times, Roach was Rouch at one point, Copas was Copass. Score not being updated regularly. Now I didn’t pay money to watch it, so I guess I can only complain so much. But if you’re not going to allow outside streams like MyTown or Sosa then at least make sure your stream is decent. Lol

Absolutely time 100!!! There have been so many other free streams of games this year that have been exceptional compared to the spectrum one. Never had the time listed at all! Never a glance to the scoreboard or anything! I thankfully did not pay the $10 to watch it but I feel bad for those that did it was awful

I was sitting with two guys that officiated for years. One was in front of me and the other was two seats from me on the right. We were on the very top where we could see everything so clearly. Both of them were shocked at some of the calls they seen last night. It was horrible. Whether their bad calls were out of bias or a lack of skill, I cannot say, but it was terrible. I think it needs to be examined closely and there needs to be something done about it. If nothing else, their leadership skill and controlling the game was totally lacking.
Just want to put this out there again. This officiating crew was picked to officiate a state championship game this year. For the life of me i can't remember what one they told me but it's not division 5. How is that crew one if the 7 best crews in the state. Watched them walk off 25 yards on a 15 yard penalty.

Not surprised they acted like that. When I lived in Canal Winchester years ago, Harvest Prep had a reputation of having really good athletes with an extremely undisciplined culture. I’ve always questioned if they just continually hire coaches that have a lot of the same issues as the kids…..discipline and attitude issues. I’m mostly referring to basketball and football.

I was thinking about taking this game in but didn't pull the trigger. Watching the GG highlites you can clearly see number 57 from HP kicking the Ironton player after the last TD. What a bunch of clowns, glad they got beatdown!

Agree on the officials, not only could nobody I was around figure out what they were trying to call but I got the feeling they weren't very confident with their calls either.

Knowing how the OH$AA is probably not. Apparently this has happened with prep in the past, they just do not handle losing well apparently
Was told last night that this crew is assigned to a state championship game. How is that possible.
This crew could maybe handle the WV state championships.

Hopefully harvest prep fires the coach and staff. To let the kids get out of control and act the way they did was horrible. I was there and shocked. I stayed for after the game. Coaches fighting that alone should get you fired.

“But he’s a winner! That shouldn’t be a problem!!” Anyways I agree with you how that ended should raise plenty of eyebrows. For a high school that is supposed to be “faith based” it was an ugly showing

They’ve let their players act like that for years, cocky and arrogant and when they get beat they don’t know how to handle it.

Outside the mispronunciation of a few names, which can happen, you never know what they are told in the press box…what was the actual “call” of the game from a play by play standpoint like? Where they on point with big plays, down and distance, etc…Always interesting to listen to the announcers overall skill - and of course names are important. But curious to know how they did with the actual overall call of the game. I love listening to different announcers and their styles. Will check this one out again.

Play by play wasn't bad. Guy knew about football. Was calling out officials a few times. On the offensive pass interference where they tried to make it 15 yards from the spot of the foul he was correcting them saying 15 from the previous spot. So he knew his stuff there. You could tell he just had whatever info the teams give him. He was looking for #17 the first half before I'm sure someone at half told him he was hurt in the last game. He was alone, no 2nd announcer or stats guy. I'd give the dude a solid 8/10 stars for his performance.

Yea camera guy wasn't into the game at all. If it didn't happen at the line of scrimmage you didn't see it.

ANY kid, who is striving for their best performance/s after up to a decade pursuing it, deserves better… PEER - EEE —UD!

So many kids, parents, & families, sacrifice so much time, $, & even health to get to this point.

They ALL deserve better.

What jumps out at me most about this discipline issue, is FAMILY, SUPPORT OF COMMUNITY, OR the coaches who care enough about kids to imprint their lives.

If that is present in their lives, this type of outcome would not unfold.

This proves how important those support systems are in young kids lives.

Sending them off to a private school, one would think, would bring humility into their lives & this would not happen.

To think those players are getting a private education & still act up, middle finger, flex, & participate in such Buffoonery, is mind blowing to me.

Family, community, & Hopefully GOD are the nucleus of of each child’s life & I truly believe we see that unfold in most cases.

This situation just miffs me.

May the Good Lord Bless us all.

He wasn’t bad, I think the name thing got me because I know the name of those players. That happens to me with any game I hear players names being mispronounced. He did a decent job overall as a one man crew, I was shocked he was by himself as well. Camera guy wasn’t great, and not updating the score & having no clock bothered me. Once again I’m just being picky because the free streams I watch have all of those things. But I was just glad to watch, for free at that. I’ll be interested to see how this week goes, plan to watch again via spectrum.
