So it's official that was the largest margin of victory in the Ironton Burg series.

Was that also burgs largest margin of defeat in playoff history?

Pendleton as HC has won what is it 8 outta the last 9 matchups vs Woodard? Or something like that? Is that right?

Congratulations Tigers on the win! Hope you win it all! Good season for Wheelersburg. Regional runner up when most expected a first round exit.

Congrats to both the Tigers and the Pirates for advancing too and playing in the Regional Finals. Good luck to the Tigers as you are one step closer to your ultimate goal.

I been saying FOREVER. One tiny sliver of light made Burg fans believe in their heart of hearts they were the new Ironton in Southern Ohio. Was never the case. Substitute teacher. Lis sis only speaks when spoken to. 🤣

They played hard but they lost with class.
Great season Burg. You made it further than anyone thought.
I’m a Ironton fan but I salute you.
For a great season
They way Burg conducts their business is levels above Prep and Portsmouth. It's not even the same ball park. Prep may have beat em on the scoreboard but that's it. Burg kids do their business the right way. Portsmouth is very disappointing.

Has any other team put two running clocks on burg in the same season?

If you two consolidated, it'd probably still be a running clock. Ya know that right? 😆

Not as bad as you would think on the overall series. Ironton 23 Wheelersburg 14

What an interesting season for Burg. I expected a better fight from them too. Ironton D was everywhere but it didn’t feel like Burg was all there either. I didn’t anticipate them in the Regional Final after the first game but they stepped up in the first few rounds. Hopefully Ironton can lock in and make it to state again. I like our chances if we keep any game close at half time.

Congrats to Burg on making it to a Regional Championship game and thanks to the Burg boys for playing with class on the field, being down big throughout the game I didn’t see no shoving or fighting from the Burg players. Every coach and player shaked hands and congratulated the Tigers at the end of the game

I agree, with it being a rivalry it can be a little chippy early in their games sometimes but a class act in the end.

Sometimes in sports and life you come across someone that is just better! Salute them and work hard to get better. I hope Ironton brings home the title!

The Burg has always had class win or lose. Ironton is just doing what the rest of the state has done for years. Recruit and get better players. Of course if you do something different in Southern Ohio the pitch fork and lantern crew will come out to try and discredit you and run you down. Burg is a good football team. Yes Ironton is really good right now. They do have a generational talent in Terry. Burg had Holden in 2017 but last time I checked it takes a team to win. Good luck to Ironton and bring back the gold trophy.

I noticed that too, that’s definitely not fishy at all to just “lose” it if that’s really what they told them. I would have been pissed if I was the guy who won.
